The Bathroom series of books do not really belong in the bathroom, because once you start to read them they are hard to put down. This is the one of the latest in a great series and it does not disappoint.

I was very excited when I "found" this Edition;but when I got home and checked my "Uncle John's Collection" the air suddenly quickly leaked 'outta by baloon.At first glance this is a great Edition,it's really big at 712 pages,a hard cover at that,and at a great price of $14.95.So;what's my beef?.Well,if you check the copyrite page,you'll see it is a compliation of two previously published editions;well sort of....

"The Giant 10th.Anniversary" Edition was published in 1997,with 504 pages @$16.95
"The Absolutely Absorbing"Edition was published in 1999,with 515 pages @ $16.95

Hence, it doesn't include all of both of these editions;but enough that if you already have ,or have read them;then this is not so great a deal.However;if you haven't;then it is .
But,I guess that's the way things go these days.Then again;if you can't trust Uncle John and "The Bathroom Reader's Institute";who can you trust?
I rated this Edition 5*;but I've just finished another "Reader";"Collossal Collection of "Quotable Quotes",which I'm reviewing next.
I can't refrain from mentioning a quotation that BRI missed including ;and was brouht to mind in buying "Gigantic"

Know a friend that spends time reading in the bathroom!? This will be a perfect gift for them. It has it's very funny moments and some quite surprising times too. It's also a great pass time reading if you don't feel like starting a novel just yet.

Always interesting topics, plenty of subjects covered and always short enough to read while letting nature take its course. This is a gigantic book, will take many sessions to peruse the contents. Highly recommended.

But a great read anywhere you want loads of information on diverse subjects in a concise format. History, pop culture, trivia, you name it, Uncle John fits it in this book. Get yours NOW!

I've read Bathroom Readers way back in highschool and I enjoyed it! The book is very thick packed with everyday trivia. A must-get for all you trivia-buffs out there!

Grandpa who is in his 70's absolutely loves this book. He likes to recite tidbits of information to the family that he gets from the book.

The book is a great gift for the person who says "I really don't need or want anything for my birthday."

The material in the book is fun and very informative. Disappointing in that having read another Uncle John's books, I found that there was a lot of duplication. Was hoping for more up to date information and trivia. For a first timer to Uncle John's books I am sure they will find it to be quite enjoyable.

I love all of the bathroom reader books. They're fun to read and have lots of great information. My wife calls them my "boys books of knowledge" because there's so much interesting trivia in them. I own all of them!

I purchased three of these before Christmas as gifts to take around with us for the holidays. There is always someone I forget to get a gift for and this year I was prepared with these books. It is something everyone seemed to enjoy quite a lot.
