These blocks are very nice. Some of the letters are embossed, others just "inked" onto the wood.

We got them when our daughter was maybe 8 months old... its been 3 months now and she still plays with them. At first we would stack them and she would knock them down. Now she enjoys stacking them herself and/or moving them around to different areas.

As she gets older we can use them to teach her the alphabet.

I bought this with the Count & Stack number set blocks by Uncle Goose... they go well together since you have all the letters and numbers.

As far as durability - our daughter has tried chewing on them (there isn't much to chew on with the corners being the way they are) and she bangs them around. They have held up well so far.

I'd recommend these.

as with all things bright-colored and wooden, my son adores these blocks. he plays with them far more than he played with his melissa & doug abc blocks. (as much as it pains me to say, sorry M&D.)

and as with all things wooden, it's unbreakable and therefore, not broken by my toddler (destructobot.) mom's a fan, too.

We have had these for a year now. I wanted a block that was larger than the traditional ones. Theses are great never had any odor issues and the have held up great and the colors are nice and bright. My daughter is now 3 and we are working on lower case letters and these are great. We are thinking of getting a second set so we can spell out more words with them.

Great blocks. I purchased them to spell out my son's name in his room. I did purchase two sets because you don't get 26 blocks. They are very nice and good quality, and I know my son's will love playing with these when they are a little older and learning to spell.

I bought this to use for my Photography business and it's great for maternity and baby shoots, lots of options for spelling out words.

The best thing about these blocks are the larger size and texture. They stack nicely and are a blast to knock down:) They work well with other blocks too and we often just use them with our building blocks. Of course, he likes trying to find certain letters too. I do wish that there were more than 14 blocks in the set. Really wish it had a full 26 set so we could line up the whole alphabet at once. Still, these are nice and we continue to play with them.

The blocks are good quality, but there are only 14, which I didn't realize when I bought them. Also, you can only put 7 or 8 letters in a row alphabetically before you have to start looking for the next letter in the ones you already have set out. I would not have bought them if I knew this.

I specifically wanted these blocks because of the sans serif typography. Very disappointed when I received the classic set. I guess I will have to purchase elsewhere to insure I get what I paid for.
