Very Informative Book,
By Bradley Maxwell "a Gram Parsons fan" (Long Beach, California United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Uncle Joe's Record Guide: Americans (Paperback)
Uncle Joe's Record Guides are packed with a lot of information. This volume covers the music of The Allman Brothers Band, Buffalo Springfield, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Doobie Brothers, The Doors, The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I own CDs by all of them except Buffalo Springfield, but I plan to buy their box set. With each band Uncle Joe covers their history and musical output. Like I said, he packs a lot of information into these guides. They are a great source for music research. My favorite section of The Americans Vol. 1 is the chapter on The Eagles. They are one of the best groups in the history of rock & roll. Uncle Joe's books are a must have.
