I LOVE this book and I must disagree with the other reviewer that it isn't as good as the first Book of the Dumb. I mean where else can you read about the dumb things that Jewel, Michael Jackson, and Richard Simmons did, along with dumb things that regular people do every day from all around the world?

This book will make you laugh out loud and I hope to see a Book of the Dumb 3 very soon because I will buy that one too.

I wish I had trusted the first reviewer rather than the second. I've read most of the Uncle John's books, and enjoy them. This is by far my least favorite. The writing is mostly fluff, not succinct like other Uncle John's books. The writer tries to be humorous, but in my opinion fails. Let the story provide the humor. Articles end three quarters down the page or near the top of the next page, then another starts on the following page. This gives the impression that they're padding the book to make it longer/thicker. If this had been my first Uncle John book I doubt I would have bought so many others. Thankfully the others are so much better! Think twice about buying this book. Perhaps review it at a local bookstore first.

The first Dr. John's Book of the Dumb was a laugh riot. However, the second one just left me cold... Perhaps with so many books devoted to the dumb things we humans do, this sequal wasn't even necesssary.

I'm sorry to say that it's the only Dr John book I've owned that is not going to be part of my permanent collection
