As the owner of several Ruger Mini 14/30's, over the years I have tried many different after market stocks for these guns and this one is by far my favorite. I have had the S.S. one for over ten years now and it has worked perfectly even after shooting thousands of rounds with it. It is still rock solid with zero play anywhere. The pistol grip fits my hand better than any other and I love how compact it is when closed. Matter of fact, I am shopping right now to buy a blue one for another Mini 14 that I picked up and was shocked to see that the rating on this was only three stars. I guess every so often someone may get a "lemon" but as for me and my experience with this stock, it is a solid five stars!

BTW The only thing that I wish Butler Creek would do better is add some rails to the underside of this stock to allow for accessories. I added a rail to both the side and bottom of my S.S. stock and they work great. See my photo.

a couple very slight shavings with a dremmel and fit in real tight and sturdy...butte is very sturdy and folds and locks easily. for 80 bucks im well pleased with this stock.
