I originally just need something to keep my work key ring from wearing out the side
of my pants. This item has the bonus feature of keeping the keys quite and managable.
All I can say is this thing is great. Good snap and the velcro holds very well.

Very heavy duty and much larger than I expected. I bought this to keep in my pocket and prevent my keys from jangling while I walk and scratching up my wallet/electronics, but this was designed for use on a belt and is too large for easy pocket-stashing if you're in a rush to get out the door. The packaging clearly states this was designed for Law Enforcement, not indicated on Amazon. The velcro works great, and snap button for keyring is very tight. This will help prevent you from worrying about losing your keys but it also makes adding keys or removing the key ring very difficult; I had to struggle to both open and close the snap while holding it in 2 hands, but I don't really have a strong grip.

Got this to hold keys on the side of my pants, especially in summer when wearing shorts.
For regular keys, this works great. But, for modern car keys with large keyfobs, it's just not large enough.
