5.0 out of 5 stars Best ankle holster
After trying several, single band ankle holsters, I was very dissapointed. They always drifted down my leg or sock until they rested on top of my shoes.
The Uncle Mike's sidekick solved that problem. The top strap goes around the top of my calf, near the knee. The bulge of my calf keeps it from sliding down. The lower strap therefore need only to serve to stabilize...

If your strapped for cash, it will work. The Unckle Mikes ankle holster has a few good things going for it. 1: Its cheap and 2: It comes with a calf strap. A calf strap is a must for ankle carry. That being said I would recomend spending more money and getting a galco ankle glove. The Unckle Mikes was such a tight fit for my Smith and Wesson 642 it takes a big effort to...

The Uncle Mike's sidekick solved that problem. The top strap goes around the top of my calf, near the knee. The bulge of my calf keeps it from sliding down. The lower strap therefore need only to serve to stabilize and position the holster.
It is comfortable enough that I forget it is there.
This is a product that lives up to my expectations. Well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Non Slipping Ankle Holster, December 13, 2009
I own one of these ankle holsters. I carry a Ruger LCP 380 as a BUG or Back Up Gun. The extra top strap prevents the ankle holster from slipping down (a common complaint with other holsters). The instructions that come with the holster aren't too clear how to put it togeather but do a google for images and like the man says: "A picture is worth a thousand words".

5.0 out of 5 stars only model I would own, April 8, 2011
I have been carrying in an Uncle Mikes Ankle Holster, on duty and off for over 15 years...in the SAME HOLSTER...I carried a glock 27 and then a Glock 33 and this holster lasted through many years of daily carry, in uniform and then plain clothes duty. The velcro is just starting to get a little weak and the stitching is coming out in a few places, so it's time to replace it with a new one.

I haven't got a single other piece of duty gear that has lasted this long, or worked this well, and I don't use the top strap either. I've never had an issue with movement, and have worn this holster during a few foot chases with no worries.
The only discomfort that I've ever experienced is the few times that I've worn it for an entire day off duty with a pair of jeans and running shoes with no socks under it....as I said, I wouldn't wear any other ankle holster...thanks Uncle Mike!

If your strapped for cash, it will work. The Unckle Mikes ankle holster has a few good things going for it. 1: Its cheap and 2: It comes with a calf strap. A calf strap is a must for ankle carry. That being said I would recomend spending more money and getting a galco ankle glove. The Unckle Mikes was such a tight fit for my Smith and Wesson 642 it takes a big effort to get my gun in it and out of it. God forbid I need to draw it in a hurry. Its not comfortable at all! The Galco was wool like material inside the ankle glove. This thing has nothing. When you tighten it, and you will have to tightin the crap out of this thing to keep it from moving, its painfull. The hard edges of the gun are felt right through the holster and mashed against the bone in your leg. STAY CLEAR

5.0 out of 5 stars i use my uncle mike's holster 7 days per week., January 13, 2009
best ankle holster i have ever used. i have to tap my left ankle with my right foot at least once per day to make sure i have not left my weapon at home by mistake, it's actually that comfortable. and it fits my 2 inch snubby like a glove, i don't even need to use the velcro top-strap to keep it from ''sneaking out'' of the holster, it stays put no matter what.

there is no room for improvement, and i've been carrying for a long time.
