4.0 out of 5 stars So much fun!
Got this with low expectations of quality. It works great! My cat just went out for 45 minutes and we got 40 pictures. I just found out he goes on the roof! I saw pictures of him crossing the street, standing on fences, and on the roof. Hilarious!!! I got good pictures about 1 of out 3 or 4. Some are blurry or have whiskers in the way! I intend to be really careful though...

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun until your pet takes a drink of water
I purchased this for my 10-year-old daughter, who promptly put it on two of our dogs and our cat. The photos were fun - if out of focus and hard to interpret - until our cat took a drink of water and submerged the camera for a few seconds before we realized what was going on. The camera promptly malfuncitoned, and moisture appeared in the lens. $40 down the drain, in...

I saw pictures of him crossing the street, standing on fences, and on the roof. Hilarious!!! I got good pictures about 1 of out 3 or 4. Some are blurry or have whiskers in the way! I intend to be really careful though and make sure that I take the camera off my cat fairly soon after the memory is full (40 pictures). I don't want him losing this device or dunking it in water. I pulled up the water dish so that he could dunk it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun!, August 4, 2009

Despite all the negative reviews, I decided to purchase this. I am so GLAD I did! Yes, some of the pics are blurry, but obviously, the cat was moving at the same time the camera took a pic. I don't know how you can avoid that. The pics are crisp and clear.
I do think, for the cost, there could be some adjustments. For example, it appears from what I have researched, you can't replace the battery in it, so it's like a disposable camera? Correct me please, if I am wrong. Also, from what other reviewers have said, they need to make it waterproof. It's pretty obvious, that when the cat or dog, gets a drink, it's going to get wet. Also, as far as setting the intervels, of when it's takes the pic, every 5, 10 or 15 minutes, that's hard to set. Maybe after I work with it some more. Oh yes, the first drawback I noticed with it is that, the clasp on it, is not secure on the cats collar. I have had to secure it with a twist tie. The cat would have lost it the first time she used it, if I had not had it secured. All in all, it's a fun toy. And I think everyone would enjoy using it.

I was very disappointed when I read the instructions and discovered that the pictures get erased when the battery is depleted. My cat goes out for 12-24 hours at a time, and the battery is only good for about 15 hours, and so far the battery has been depleted every time I've let my cat out with the camera on. It would seem to me to be a no-brainer to use non-volatile flash memory in any kind of camera. I would love to see what my cat is up to during the day, but this camera will certainly not help me find out.

Very disappointing.

The camera functions as advertised, though it's probably more interesting when attached to an outdoor cat. Unfortunately, we're having one issue with it: it's so big, and hangs so low, that when the cats use the litter box, the camera winds up getting dragged through their mess. On multiple occasions I've reached down to unhook the camera from the cat's collar, and come away with a handful of cat poo. Until they are able to make it in a smaller case that doesn't hang so low, I'd be careful!

My dog's spirits have been lifted since we purchased the Pet's Eye View camera for her. It is a shame that Casey's God given gift for photography had been stifled for the first 13 years of her life. It is easy to compare our dog's photos to that of Ansel Adams, Anne Geddes or Alfred Eisenstaedt. Next week Casey is scheduled to photograph her first wedding. The Pet's Eye View Camera has been a great conversation piece and a fun tech device that doesn't break the bank.

I was worried about buying this product because of the negative reviews I had read. I got the camera for my 6 year old animal loving daughter for Christmas. We have used it like 7 times in two days. We just keep on sending the cats and the dog out in turn while wearing it. It is a blast. totally hilarious. I can't believe how much you can see in the pics and how clear they are. Probably about 1 out of every 5 pics is blurry. Works better on the cats because they don't move around so much. The only thing is that I don't know how long it's going to last. If it broke today though, I would've gotten my moneys worth out of it already. I absolutely love it and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

What a huge disappointment. We were so looking forward to using this camera on our camping trip. We strapped it onto our dog's collar and set off. Unfortunately, it only worked for about 10 minutes of our hike and then stopped working. Great idea, really cheap and poor construction. I would return it if I hadn't tossed out the packaging.

This camera should be considered a novelty item, and as such, is okay. Had to return the first one when it no longer appeared as a device on my computer (Mac) after initially working. Picture quality surprisingly good for some shots, not for others, probably a factor of lighting, motion, etc. The USB connector port is a drawback - poorly designed rubber cover that won't stay shut, hence the connector can accumulate dirt depending on the travels of your pet. Controls not intuitive but not difficult, either.

I thought that this little camera sounded like a really fun idea so I ordered one. When it came in, I carefully read the instructions and plugged it into my computer to charge. The instructions said to charge it for two hours the first time. Eight hours later, my camera still had not charged. I switched computers and tried again. No luck! I switched to a 3rd computer and still no luck. I returned the camera and received a replacement. This one also would not charge after being plugged in for 24 hours. I am now sending this one back and waiting for a refund. If the price drops to around $15, I may try again. Otherwise, it is not worth the aggravation. As always, Amazon's service was outstanding!
