I am a huge Uncle John's fan and this is one of their best books. Brilliantly put together, it combines quote that are humorous, sad, inspirational and just plain weird. A must have for any Bathroom Reader collection. "Go with the Flow!"

Although I enjoyed this edition just as much as I did the other edition "Collossal Collection of "Quotable" Quotes",for which I wrote and posted a Review on October 23,2010; something went awray.When I went to post a Review on "Quintessential",I found the other Review there.So I checked an Lo,and Behold the review was posted both places.In an effort to correct things,I deleted it here.Guess what happened;it got deleted in both places.Oh well,at least this is a first for me.I wonder now,if this review is going to show up for both books?

Anyway,this is also an excellent collection of quotations as well.

I've always enjoyed quotations,something which there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of,and there are many here that are new to me.

I particularly liked the Indian Proverbs we find on page 345;and here are a few of them;

"The one who tells the stories,rules the world."--Hopi

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."--Cherokee

"The frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives."--Sioux

"Each bird loves to hear himself sing."--Arapaho

"The man who gives his opinion freely should be ready to fight fiercely."--Iowa

"We will be known forever by the tracks we leave."--Dakota
