In "Return to Xanadu," Scrooge learns that Kubla Khan's mystic valley is the same place as Tralla La... the remote Asian paradise he visited long ago. In "Dr. Invento," a TV producer convinces Gyro Gearloose to host a TV show for children, and to Gyro's surprise, it's a big hit with the kids. Next, in "Truth or Mayor," Donald uses hypnotic goggles to make Duckburg elect him to political office. Finally, when Scrooge disappears in "Goodbye to All That," Don and the kids vow to track him down... and finds him working together with old enemy Magica De Spell, fighting to save the Earth from a comet!

"Return to Xanadu" is another first-rate Don Rosa tale riffing on a Carl Barks classic. Uncle Scrooge, Donald, and Huey, Louie, and Dewey are in search of the lost treasure of Genghis Khan. There's a bit of surprise, however, for both them and for the reader who thinks he knows which Barks tale this is a sequel to. Filling out the volume are "Comet Get It," in which Scrooge has no choice but to form an unlikely partnership, Gyro Gearloose's brush with celebrityhood in "Dr. Invento," and a short Donald tale, "Through a Lens Darkly." --David Horiuchi
