The Black Catholic, May 2, 2009
This review is from: Uncommon Faithfulness: The Black Catholic Experience (Paperback)
5/2/09 The bookstore(online) which reviewed "Uncommon Faithfulness:The Black Catholic Experience" list it as being "an engaging study of black catholics, the black catholic(s)'s contributions to the catholic church, and the challenges the black catholic(s) face". The bookstore online also states "these essays describe the experience of black Catholics in this country since their arrival in North America in the 16th Century Until the Present Day"..Besides the preceding sentences , the rest of "that particular bookstore online's" summary gave also what's to be gleamed in the current and future goals for "those with uncommon faithfulness" of the black race in the Catholic Church and its Catholic Comunities to the catholic church and the black communities. A real browse inside of the book would possibly have up my rating a notch, but based on my reading of a summary ,a "Rating of 3" reflects my view of "it sounds interesting and enlightening" but unsure without seeing its Notes(bibliography, sources, index) of "how factual and enlightening".5/2/09 abj
