5.0 out of 5 stars Pioneering history of coffee, January 2, 2008
This review is from: Uncommon Grounds (Hardcover)
In many ways, Pendergrast's book has led a small boom in books about coffee. His remains one of the most thoroughly researched histories, and I use it in my teaching on the geography of coffee. Pendergrast covers interesting social movements for and against the bean and details the rises, falls, and mergers of corporate dynasties in the coffee business.
