5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Of This Trilogy!
Honey, curled in a fetal position with her gun aimed on Benito's head, is kidnapped and stuffed in the open trunk of Valentino's truck. The first chapter picks up exactly where Who's Loving You ended. Suspense, disappointment, shock, anger, sadness, happiness, and hopefulness are just a few of the feelings and sensations Mary B Morrison takes us through on this journey...

Horrible! Can't believe this material came from Mary B. Morrison. Took me forever to finish. Never did this happen before with one of her books. This is proof it's time to end this series. Not only was bringing in Jada Diamond Tanner from the Soul mates Dissipate series horrible, it also made Jada look like a selfish bougie beyotch! Was never that fond of Jada, but she was extra awful in this book. Brought together with a man half her age that she doesn't match or appreciate. Was definitely not feeling the ending. Anything that involves the kidnapping of children just born in a hospital makes me sick anyways. The mystery of who did it pins Jada as the culprit due to her hatred for Honey and her initial threat, but seriously this book should of not been put out. Again I can't believe Morrison wrote this crap!

Honey, curled in a fetal position with her gun aimed on Benito's head, is kidnapped and stuffed in the open trunk of Valentino's truck. The first chapter picks up exactly where Who's Loving You ended. Suspense, disappointment, shock, anger, sadness, happiness, and hopefulness are just a few of the feelings and sensations Mary B Morrison takes us through on this journey. So many outrageous twists and turns happen and you will undoubtedly have compassion and sympathy for the people you least expect. Jada and her family from Mary B Morrison's Soulmates Series, makes an appearance in this book and quickly become permanent fixtures. Sadly we see a whole new side of Mrs. Jada Diamond Tanner and she seems a bit different and a lot less likable then she was when we used to know her. Actually, it seems that most of the characters we grew fond of in this series and in the Soulmates Series switched places with the ones I disliked immensely. Very interesting to say the least.

After wreaking havoc and causing major unforgettable mayhem in people's lives, many of the characters turn over a new leaf and seem to have become better people but is that just an act? Have you ever watched a movie or read a book where the main character does the one thing you didn't want them to do? Or picks the wrong significant other for themself for whatever reason? Well that is how I felt reading this book. If this was a movie I would have been screaming at the screen for the characters to make the right choices. It feels very dissimilar and almost like a betrayal when the characters you feel you know make such out of pocket decisions. Sometimes it is refreshing for something unexpected to happen or to not have a happy ending for once but this one felt like a knife in my back. You will see. This novel commands nothing less than five stars and is honestly the best installment of this series. The Honey Diaries aren't over yet because currently we are left with the biggest cliff hanger of all. Lets just hope the next book in this succession is the last, that everything turns out right, and that the drama ends because at this point it seriously seems like Honey and friends deserve the best and a fifth installment would just be over kill of the story line.

1.0 out of 5 stars CYN, December 11, 2009
I was very, very, very dissapointed in the book. The story line was awful. When I bought the book I was so excited to get home and read it, knowing it extends from the last two series. However I was so bored I had to put the book down. It took me 3 weeks to bring myself to try to finish it. Low and behold when I finally got to the end I felt betrayed, because I was hoping that this will be the end of Honey/Lace torture; instead I got this.....NOTHING!!!!! Going right back to the beginning where the story first started.
Come on Morrison the other one better be blast....

1.0 out of 5 stars Not At All What I Expected!, September 9, 2009
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Hardcover)
Having read the two previous books; Sweeter Than Honey & Who's Loving You, I was pumped and really excited about reading this latest installment. Sweeter Than Honey really took me a minute to get into, and I was left with a feeling of 'Oh well, maybe the next one will be better'. Then I read Who's Loving You, and it was so hot, I could hardly put it down. I have to admit along with many others before me, Unconditionally Single was definitely not what I expected, and it left a lot to be desired.

Being a self-published author who hopes to be in the likes of authors like Ms. Morrison, and other notables, I guess that makes me much more critical of books that I read. Honesty has got to be the best policy here.

I thought the book was poorly written for such a seasoned author. It was so convoluted that I found myself, on several occasions, ready to toss the book into my 'I'll get to that one later' pile. It if were not for the fact that I ride the train to work every day, and had absolutely nothing else to read, I would have stopped reading after the first couple of chapters.

The content was all over the place. The kidnapping scenario could have been thought out a little better, and the 'Who's Jonesing Who?' escapades were really working my nerves. It wasn't until the final chapter that I really started cracking up, and was at a point where I couldn't read each line quick enough before I got to the epilogue.

And then that's when the crickets started rubbing their forewings together.............. WHAT? That's it? I did not like the cliff hanger ending at all. Ms. Morrison has already established her fan base, so any books that come after this one will be read regardless, but it sure would be nice if the next book 'knocks it out the park'.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Playing Field, September 30, 2009
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Hardcover)
Unconditionally Single by Mary B. Morrison takes the reader on a wild ride with one of our favorite characters, Honey. Honey dropped out of the prostitution game and is trying her hand at running a legitimate business. When Honey and her team get the drop on a pimp they come off with over 110 million dollars. Valentino is back and wants his money, no matter who gets hurt in the process.

Honey tries to curb her wicked ways and is in love with Grant, a multi-millionaire who will do anything for her, but old habits die hard and she turns back to the life of crime. Trying to start a new life by helping women get off the street and away from domestic violence, Honey seems to have gotten her stuff together. That is until she is caught up once again in a gun fight; blood shed and she turns up missing.

There was a lot going on in this story with all of the characters having their fair share of storylines and plots; Ms. Morrison pulled off another great read. Can Honey keep her man even though there is someone else after him? What happens to Valentino? Will Valentino change from the vengeful man we have been a witness to, and turn over a different leaf? All I can say is hold on to your seats; this book is full of surprises. I recommend this book to readers of all genres, and especially Ms. Morrison's fans.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please no more..........................Let this be the last., August 18, 2009
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Hardcover)
I anticipated the arrival of this book and when I got it in the mail I ripped open and could not wait the read it. I decided to take it with me on vacation. Hell should have left it at home. I was truely disappointed it only took me a day and a 1/2 to read it because I skimmed through some of the chapters. It seemed a bit rushed. I didn't understand the time scale at all. things were happening to fast. At the end of the book of course I was left hanging so I have a feeling theres going to be another one. Please just let it rest.

1.0 out of 5 stars what happened?, July 31, 2009
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Hardcover)
I purchased this book after anticipating its arrival i was deeply disappointed and I have only had the book for 1 day and can't bring myself to complete the book. I would hope that ms. morrison comes back with a book that would be so engrossing that it will only take 1 night to read. This is not her best by a long shot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment, July 31, 2009
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Hardcover)
this book was a huge disappointment it was very similar to the "sweeter than honey" book and not because it is a sequel to the book, but basically the same settings and events happen. the writing style was also not of her usual. she writes with the short sentences and a poetry style, something you would find in an eric jerome dickey book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Felisha K, December 13, 2011
This review is from: Unconditionally Single (Paperback)
This book, I understand, is the third of the triology. I enjoyed the book overall. This book has prompted me to read "Sweeter Than Honey" and "Who's Loving You". In addtion, I intend to read all of Morrison's books.

Regarding "Unconditionally Single", at the very end,I felt frustrated because I wanted the book to continue. What happened to the babies?? I am glad she gave definitions to being unconditionally single. I was shocked that the initial foe turned out to be a friend toward the end..or was he?

During the book, I fell in love with Honey. Her peers see her as strong role model and I did too. I really enjoyed not knowing what was next. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat.

Its a keeper. Keep doing yo thang Mary B. Morrison.

I mean it was ok. I feel like she is just stretching the story line out and I wasn't satisfied with the end of this story. I wish she could wrap it up, I want to know how this all plays out!
