My son received this book as a gift and it has provided many hours of study and fascination with sharks. He took it to share one day in his kindergarten class and it was a hit!! All the parents wanted to know where I got it so they could buy similar items for their kids. I refered them to amazon or ebay. The body pieces are fragile though. We've lost the muscles and his skeleton is loose, but it's only because it's been used to death. We can still read about the sharks. You could glue the pieces back in. Either way, it's a great book!!

Although it says that this book is appropriate for kids aged 9-12, our five year old loves it! Each page shows a layer of the sharks body and explains how it works. There is also information about other sharks in general. The 3-D model captures our son's imagination. He particularly thinks it's funny that the shark has tires in its tummy. We highly recommend any of the books in this series.

This book has a three-dimensional model of a shark and lots of colorful pictures. It teaches you all about the Great White Shark.The most interesting part of the book is about the muscular system of the Great White Shark.
It is a really cool book!

I got this for my son's 9th birthday. He has several other shark books. He loves this book! There is a need to be gentle with the book as pieces will break. The "Uncover" series has been great thus far!

I happened to run across this book at a wholesale club and picked it up. What a great find! The center of the book is a model of a shark, but what isn't obvious is that as you turn each page, each layer of the shark is suspended inside that page, so the model gets build up and your child can see each system individually and how it fits inside.

I bought this and several others in this series and my 6 year old, who is in 1st grade just loves them. My aunt was so impressed she asked me to send her the info on these books so she could buy it for her grandkids.

There is one drawback to this book (and series), the various small pieces of the model are held to the book with little pieces of plastic, so they are somewhat fragile. So far we haven't had anything break, so they aren't super fragile, but I wouldn't recommend this book for a child who is too young to know to be careful with it, since it certainly isn't designed to withstand rough wear and tear.

WE HAD FUN LOOKING AT ALL THE PARTS OF THE SHARK AT OUR GRANDSON'S 7TH BIRTHDAY. WE ALSO PURCHASED A SHARK T SHIRT SO HE WAS VERY HAPPY.

My kids, even my young one at 4, like to read this book, we have several of them. The 3 dimension aspect really allows you to observe and gain a better understanding of a shark and what its different layers do and how they fit together. I think its helped my kids gain a better appreciation for them. It is kind of fragile since the model part of it made out of clear plastic, so you have to be careful not to abuse it.

I got this book for my son when he was four and he loved it. He loves it still at the age of six. This book gave him a great understanding of how everything works together inside the body. He knows more about sharks than any adult I know because of this book. Would recommend!

I have purchased several of this series and they are fun and educational. My son loves them and shows them to his friends.

I havne't personally seen this book since I had it shipped to my granddaughter who is 7 years old. She LOVES it, she has especially enjoyed the different layers of the body that the book shows, she is learning from the book. Parent's were happy with the quality of the book.
