I really enjoyed these memories and realized how much I missed the underground papers of the 60s and 70s, papers destroyed by the FBI which "conducted surveillance and disruption activities on the underground press in the United States, including a campaign to destroy the alternative agency Liberation News Service. As part of its COINTELPRO designed to discredit and infiltrate radical New Left groups, the FBI also launched phony underground newspapers..."
