Ridiculous and incomprehensible plot lines... Yes
Feeble and unrealistic character development...yes
Short chapters, lots of padding...yes.
I am infuriated by this carelessly written, feeble excuse for a book. It does not deserve to be described as a novel. The author has clearly lost all interest in the series and assumes that loyal readers are gullible enough to continue paying for her work.
Do not buy this book, do not borrow it from a library and do not waste a minute of your precious lives reading this rubb
I don't think writing a trilogy excuses the lack of a plot for book 2. If that weren't enough, the characters were whiny, ridiculous, and stupid. The dialogue peaked at plodding but spent most of it's time at irritating. This book was just bad!
Undead and Undermined is what happens when authors are under contract to deliver a book every year. Absolutely no thought, or creativity occurs. Undead and Undermined feels hastily thrown together. Whole excerpts from previous books are lifted and used verbatim here. Stuff we already know is rehashed over and over. Literally nothing seems to happen. Betsy is still trying to figure out what happened in the last book on page 248. Seriously nothing of consequence happens by page 248 and the entire book is only 276 pages long.
Unlike most readers of this series, I actually enjoyed the last book. I thought it was clever and had an interesting twist. I never expected the next book to be this bad. I'm so glad I only borrowed this from the library, I can't imagine paying money for this insult of a book. Wasting my time reading it has been offensive enough.
