5.0 out of 5 stars One Word...CLASSIC!
J-RE the Reviewer - back again. Everyone agrees with me that Nas Illmatic is a classic and one of the best Hip Hop albums (if not the best) of all time, period. AZ had a lot to do with that with his classic verse. This man is classic and legendary, anything below classic would be disrespect to AZ. This album is AZ's most mature and intelligent album. He is very smooth on...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not this time around!
I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. I'm a diehard AZ fan but I won't front on reviews. I'm a little dissapointed with this album, it reminds me of 9 Lives & Aziatic. While they were lyrically much better they had songs that were ruined by something stupid and on this album hooks by Amil (i think) and Ray-J ruin two potentially good songs. Overall its an OK album from an artist...

AZ had a lot to do with that with his classic verse. This man is classic and legendary, anything below classic would be disrespect to AZ. This album is AZ's most mature and intelligent album. He is very smooth on this album, but also spits venom. This is just a classic album right here and is the Illmatic of our time (2008) and for mature audiences only. If you even give this below 5 stars you really gotta question yourself for real yo, I mean what makes a classic album? Beats gotta be classic, lyrics, flow, and subject matter gotta be fire, and swag gotta be there...he has it all. Stop playn and give A his due

5.0 out of 5 stars AZ is in my top 2, April 11, 2008
This review is from: Undeniable (Audio CD)
Easily better then anything else out and it is definitely for people with a mature feel for music. It's so effortless that it is not even funny. AZ and Nas are the best ever to do it in my opinion. They both understand life so it's only right to say that there music is undeniable. AZ said it best on AWOL, "It's hard to explain my artwork." So why try?

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite AZ albums, November 4, 2011
This review is from: Undeniable (Audio CD)
AZ is one of the greatest of all time and this is defintly one of my favorite az albums (close behind Do Or Die, The Format, and AWOL) when i copped this i knew nothing about AZ but after a few listens i realized he was one of the best of all time. So pick this up if you just heard about him or you want more quailty AZ cuts. Check the bonus track feat Twista called Body Rock.

Yung's TOp 5:

Fire (Illy sample with AZ shredding this track apart)
The Hardest (Video Mix feat. Styles P Sick collab and at the end their is a bonus track with non stop spittin with no hook involved)
Dead End
Now I Know

It's a shame that more people don't know about AZ and his talent. I'm a lover of music and try my best to keep abreast of what's going on in the music world and I hardly ever hear anything about him. Ironically, though, I hear more than I want to about rappers with half as much talent as him, but such is life. I saw that he had an album out and I had just finished listening to Nas's "Lost Tapes" album and was totally astounded by it, it's his best work to date. But then I realized that AZ and Nas have collaborated several times, most notably their work together with a group they created called The Firm.

I gave this album four and a half stars because he is a wonderful lyricist and I'm a sucker for good lyrics. He delivers each and every line with much vigor and energy. Further, he has some great beats, many of them laced with bass. The album's title track is one of the best found here. On this song, he lets us know that he "gets higher than Mariah's sound." The hook is pretty good as well. "Fire" is another highlight. In fact, I just had to add it to my iPod to listen to it repeatedly. Although I granted this album four and a half stars, this is the only song I gave a five to. It's pure and unadulterated hip-hop. "Superstar" and "Parking Lot Pimpin'" are up-tempo tracks that are sure to catch your attention.

This album is fifty minutes long with twelve tracks so it's not especially long but for that fifty minutes, trust me, you will be enthralled, so why wait? Pick up this release right now! It's one of the best albums of 2008!

Mikeisha's Top 5

1. "Fire"
2. "The Hardest"
3. "The Game Don't Stop"
4. "Life on the Line"
5. "Undeniable"

5.0 out of 5 stars You cannot deni this!, July 9, 2008

Man, this dude is off the hook. AZ is soooo underated its ridiculous. I love every song on this CD. I don't skip not one song, and that's rare for me. My man took it back to the 90's with this one and kept it straight street, but classy as he always is. Dude has swaggard like a motha*****. I love all of his lyric content, and definately without a doubt can say he is up there with Jay-Z. That's how dope this dude is. He has lyrics for days. You must cop this one, you will not regret it. Favorite favorite songs are numbers 3 and 5, but love them ALL!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lyrical Genius Holden it down N.Y. style [a much needed CD], April 25, 2008
This review is from: Undeniable (Audio CD)
Az is a master at word play. One of the most underated Mc's. And pound for pound right there with the best. This CD doesn't have a weak song (except for the one with Ray J). My favorite tracks are (2)Superstar, (6) Dead End and (4) Fire. Az represents true lyrical skills & makes you feel how real Hip Hop should be, all done with a minimum of profanity I might add. The last tracks with Styles P & the one directly after are hot as well. Undeniably the best hip hop CD so far this year!

This album is crazy!! You know AZ makes some of the nicest smooth albums, this is definitely one of them. Joints like "Superstar", "Now I Know", "Dead End", and "Life on the Line" are some of the dopest songs of the year, and that's not even all Undeniable has to offer. This album is on the grown and sexy mentality but it isn't wack like a lot of other albums that rappers try to pull that style off on (like Kingdom Come...). Definitely worth a purchase!
