First off, I am a huge fan of underarmour as in a lot of the clothes I wear and work out in are underarmour. When I first got this, I felt the quality of the material. The quality is superb, its not some cheap cloth or none of that junk, this is the real deal. I wore while running in the cold yesterday im talking chicago cold, 10 degrees to be exact. It worked wonders, you can have it to cover up your mouth and nose, or you can cover just your mouth. Overall its a great product, so worth the money.

Well, I guess one of the three would be correct. But did you know that balaclavas have more uses than being the fashion item of choice for political dissidents worldwide? That's right! In addition to being a stylish addition to any "revolting" wardrobe (RPG sold separately), scientists have discovered many practical uses for such facial devices, including (and not limited to):
-Keeping your head warm
-Keeping your head dry
-Scaring people on public transit
-Flipping the neck part upside-down to mimic religious officials' awesome hats
-And many, many more!

You'll be in luck that this magnificent piece of textile fits the bill for virtually every feature listed above and much more. Since acquiring this wonderful head gear for my motorcycle, I've found my chilly 35-degree rides to my campus's bus completely tolerable, and by leaving it on (sans-helmet) upon entering the vehicle, I have had a significant drop in the amount of people who want to talk to me about deep, philosophical topics such as, "What you ride, bro?" and, "Aren't bikes dangerous?". Although if they insist past your intimidating Cobra Commander-esque presence, you can be assured that it will hide your smirk as you tell them about your "Charlston XD500 19SL Superduper" to which they (always) reply, "Sick," or, "Oh, my brother rides. I think he has one of those."

The only downside I can think of to wearing this item is that upon wearing ear buds underneath (which works great at making sure your helmet doesn't pull them out as you're putting it over your head), you might find yourself in an uncontrollable state of "rocking out", which to passerby might look more like you are being attacked by a swarm of bees (true story) or possibly fighting electric current coursing through your body after improperly insulating the wires after the ballast for your "mad sick HID kit" (also true story).

Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this for the cold months coming up, it is somewhat tight, but fits. I've used one before that is why I bought this one. When I'm bored I wear it to look like a ninja sort of person, I know I'm a little lame lol.

I've used the hood a few times now. I live in Seattle and your face gets chilly if you're cycling around without one. Decided to pick this up because it was $15. Got the blue but would have liked black. It's pretty dark.

To get to the point, the hood/mask is not meant for everyone. Similarly, maybe hoods just ain't for you. I'm starting to think they're not for me. I'm a bit known for having a larger than average nose. This is meant to go over your nose. When I'm out there cycling, it's hard to breathe through this thing. I am exerting myself quite a bit out there, but it feels like I'm waterboarding myself sometimes. (It does start to get pretty moist if you're really trying on a chilly day) Something to be aware of. Similarly, when I'm not sucking the damn thing into my mouth, it shoots all the air straight into my eyes. I've already got wind in my eyes, I don't need my breath too. I'm assuming this is because my nose is larger, I'm lean faced, and thus creates two little pockets for air to get out. It could just be a mask/hood thing for everyone but I'd expect these would be less preferable otherwise.

Anyway, 4 stars. It's not bad, but I don't think it's really a one size fits all. I have a L to XL sized head and it does fit alright, but it definitely doesn't like my L to XL sized nose. Can't give it five stars based on my experience even though it is a decent product. ($25 is overpriced for this product. $15 is ok.)

This hood is a very snug fit. Can easily be worn as a half mask by pulling back the top part. I wouldn't call this a cold weather mask, the wind cuts right through this easily. Its great if you plan on wearing it while doing some sort of exercise, but I would not recommend it if you plan on sitting still for a while. It breathes great during exercise, with little moisture build up around the mouth area, but holds little to no heat when sitting still, especially if there's a breeze, you will feel the wind chill.

pretty good hood. I purchased the OD green for outdoor use. Its a little snugger fitting then i hoped, which puts some pressure on my nose and closes it off a bit. Despite that the snug fit is not too uncomfortable and preferable over a loose fit which would let cold air in. It reaches down to the neck so combined with a jacket with collars up you should be completely protected form direct air exposure.

It is what you get. Comfortable, practical, but must be used in conjunction with something in the temperatures under -5C. Also beware that it does not protect you from any wind. The very moment the wind pics up, you feel your head getting cold. Use in conjunction with scarf or at least a fleece hat.
