I've been buying men's active underwear for many, many years, and have always been sorely disappointed. Either they're far too tight, too snug in some areas while too loose in others, fail to breathe and therefore are uncomfortable for extended wearing, or they fall apart in the wash in a few cycles. I'd been resigned to terrible support underwear until I stumbled upon these after a recent typical failure with another two sets I'd invested in off the Amazon shopping site. First, I admit these seem to run a bit large--or rather they run true to size and all the other pairs I've purchased tend to run small and further shrink in the wash, making for a doubly-uncomfortable experience. But these, though pricey, are a great value to me. They're very comfortable, breathe easily regardless how hard I push myself, and come out of the wash-and-dry cycle as crisp as when I first bought them. Admittedly I've only had the two pair for about a month, but I meet with my trainer 6 days a week and am using-washing these nearly every day. I'll try to remember to update this review in about three months to report if these boxer briefs have held up. But for now, I'm such a happy customer I plan to buy another 5 pairs--1 for each of my daily training sessions--so I don't have to do wash every single night. And by the way, guys, these provide both support and comfort--too rare among men's athletic briefs/boxers. Great job, Under Armour.

These are definitely the most comfortable boxers I've ever worn. There's no rolling of the legs like I would get with standard boxer briefs and the long inseam prevents any chaffing. There is a comfy package pouch to give your special purpose some room and also has an actual working fly. The elastic waistband is tall, thick, and comfy and doesn't lose its shape. They stay mostly dry from sweat and are great at keeping the core at an acceptable temperature in the heat.

Several things I've learned from experience, friends, and other reviews:

    - There is an unnecessary, small white tag stitched into the rear of the waistband. Do not cut the tag on the back. If cut, it renders the boxers very uncomfortable because the top of the tag cannot be fully removed and it scrapes away at the skin. I've left them on all my pairs without issue.

    - Wash cold and leave to air dry. Like most Under Armour they come out of the washer nearly dry as it is. Running through the dryer wears them out faster and decreases the smoothness of the fabric.

    - On the UA website there were various reviews recommending to get one size larger. I'm normally an XL so I purchased both XL and 2XL. I've found the added size is not necessary. They both seem to fit me just fine, although the larger size does seem to lose some of the support compared to my regular size.

    - When taking a leak it's important to shake well. The "last few drops" will slowly work their way down your leg and you can feel every bit as the fabric won't absorb the liquid.

Hanes and Fruit of the Loom were my previous brands of choice, but they are being replaced by the more expensive Under Armours. I've been recommending these boxers to all of my friends because, as the packaging states, "You'll never wear regular underwear again".

    Me:

    Gender: Male
    Height: 6 feet
Build: Lean and muscular from lifting weights regularly
    Weight: 180 lbs
Waist: 34" at the belly button
Pant height preference: I prefer to wear my clothes with the waistband around my hips, which measure ...
    Hip line: 35"
    Thigh curcumference: 22"
Thigh length (if I'm kneeling on the ground, the distance from my groin to the ground): 16"

    The underpants trials:

Tightey-whiteys: Cotton doesn't feel good to me and holds wetness. The shape of the cut I did not care for, it did not feel comfortable.

Boxers: Don't care for the bunching in material, lack of sweat wicking due to the material not being against my skin, and the amount that my circumcised (non-consensual) head would drag against the material all day causing irritation.

Non-athletic boxer-briefs: I often find the material to be unpleasant and the thighs to ride up annoyingly.

Bikini briefs: When running, my shaft ventures slightly outside of the brief, rubbing on the edge of the material - very unpleasant. If I go with a smaller size to prevent this, it is very tight fitting. Sweat that is outside of the narrow area of coverage gets transmitted to my pants and does not wick away like the athletic materials, which wick better than bare skin in open air, it seems

Athletic boxer-briefs: Now, I'm getting close to my objective. The materials used here are great at sweat wicking and the fit is better. Let's get into the details.

Attempt #1: Men's The Original 9" Boxerjock Boxer Briefs Bottoms by Under Armour. The cheap boxer briefs from the mall were 6" inseam and rode up immediately. These, at 9", lasted a bit longer before riding, but still rode up my thighs uncomfortably.

I have been working out for some time now and hated my regular boxers. These were great for comfort and not having to worry if my gym shorts would fall too high when I would lay back to do crunches.
