5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting, suspenseful, romantic!!!!
I really enjoyed reading Under a Blue Moon. It was really exciting. The suspense was so that I could not put the book down until I finished it. The author really takes her time to develop her storylines and characters. I like how she works her way into their romance. She makes you want more, more, more. I read Picture Perfect and loved it, also. I definitely would...

3.0 out of 5 stars Love Under A Blue Moon
Angelica wanted to get out of her marriage. Yes, her husband Phillip was attractive and charming, but he was no good. He was involved in things a ligit lawyer wouldn't be involved in. He talks her into going to dinner with him on the boat named after her. She reluctantly agrees and this day changed her life forever. Angie is in an accident and can't remember what...

The author really takes her time to develop her storylines and characters. I like how she works her way into their romance. She makes you want more, more, more. I read Picture Perfect and loved it, also. I definitely would like to see more from all of the characters. There is definitely great potential for more romance novels. I can hardly wait. Ms. Harrison, keep up the good work. Your work really shows that you put time and effort in developing your characters and storylines. I just love that real old-fashioned romance. Good luck on your future novels. When is your next book due out? Can't wait!!!!! Sure would like to hear from Davina and Justin.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, October 1, 1999
This review is from: Under a Blue Moon (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Ms Harrison, it was well worth the wait since you did Picture Perfect and I truly enjoyed that story. Well you outdid yourself and once again you have written quite an interesting story which was an easy to follow plot that did not have a boring moment. This is one of those "read in one day novels." Angie and Matt are brought together where they both battle personal issues and in this battle they end up helping one another and finding love with each other. I agree with the comment Angie makes to Matt that she would not have changed anything that had happen because it would not have provided them with the opportunity to meet and find love with each other. This is a perfect illustration to us that often times life deals us a hand and it may seem as though it doesn't make sense but then the higher force reveals his true plans and well..lets say to my fellow readers Angie and Matt demonstrate the message very well in this story. Also to my fellow romance readers I think Ms Harrison must be putting her pen to work again because I see another story developing with Jill and Reed from this one plus we need to have an update on Matt and Angie. ACCOLADES TO SHIRLEY HARRISON.

4.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed reading this book!, January 12, 2000
This review is from: Under a Blue Moon (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
It is a story about redemption and finding love where least expected. The story involves Angie a self-assured intelligent woman trying to finalize her divorce. Matt a doctor, enigmatic but alluring, and Angie's charming lawyer husband Phillip; Phillip is involved in shady deals which sets this plot. A good read, although a romance novel it contained lots of suspense, mystery and adventure that could appeal to any reader. Finally, more than halfway through the book a coupling takes place and it was rather weak, so was the subsequent love scene what a disappointment. Without being too raunchy more could have been done. This book needs a sequel - Angie's brother, Reed, occupation was hinted at, but left me wondering just what he does for a living. Using Angie's jewelry business as a jump-start. Lastly, some of the scenes were comical like the one between Angie and one of the villains at the end of story. I laughed out loud, which was not good idea when you on a train with several people watching you. You could just picture the scenario. Oh, this is also a good book for animal lovers too. I loved that dog. I like a reprise of him too.

This was a great story, but I must say it left me wanting more. What happens on their return home? And what happens with Reed and Jill? You have to have a follow up! This story tells us that Fate is a wonderful thing! Keep up the good work!

This second novel by Shirley Harrison shows that she is truly in the right profession. Ms. Harrison has a firm grasp on creating a visual with her descriptive narratives. Many times throughout the book I felt as if I was on the beach, running through the wooded area, etc., right along with the main character. And I definitely wished I was there for the love scenes! It's so nice to see a contemperary writer that doesn't rely on a lot of dialogue and profanity to express a point. This is a must read.

Angie is in an accident and can't remember what happened to her after she is rescued by the handsome doctor Matt and his dog Buster. Matt is running away. His wife is dead and they think he killed her. Matt wants to help Angie. The only reason he even knows her name is because of a piece of jewelry she is wearing. In helping Angie get well and regain her memory, they fall in love. Angie wants to help Matt put his life back together. Of course, he resists, but when true love's involved you might as well quit running.

This is Ms. Harrison second book. I purchased this book when it was first published and just hadn't read it. This book had a lot of suspense and I would like to see Angie's brother Reed with his own story. If you have never read Ms. Harrison, please read her first book Picture Perfect. It was excellent. This one was good too, but I really loved Picture Perfect.

This review is from: Under a Blue Moon (Arabesque) (Mass Market Paperback)
Okay! the only reason I got the book because it is had the some couple on it as my favorite book of all times "Fire and Desire," by Brenda Jackson, but the pose is different! But I was not disappointed!! It was a great read. I love "I lost my memory stories!" It was very nicely written. I guess it was a great cover for the book! Just Joking!! In this case I choose a good book by its cover!
