I would just like to thank the Divine Miss M for making sooooo many songs that touch our hearts. I was just told that one of my friends had died, and the first song that came into my mind was The Wind Beneath My Wings. She was always the best of friends and i couldn't ask for more. I just want to thank her again for being a great friend, and everyone has many!

Wind beneath my wings makes me think of my older Sister. She has always been there for me and I don't know what I would do without her.

The song "Wind Beneath My Wings" is one of my favorite songs of all times! When I heard this song about 12 years ago, I was very hurt inside. My grandmother had died about 8 months before this song was released. Today, the song is still my favorite! That song will always be in my heart with my grandmother beacause of Bette Midler!

my cousine picked this song to be played at my grandmothers funeral from all the grandkids...it fit so perfect! this song will always be in my heart with my hero (granny)..thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I love Bette Middler, her voice is out of this world, it is so powerful and strong and yet so gentle and the lyrics are heartfelt, some of us are lucky enough to have someone who is "their wind beneath their wings," and it is only when we loose them do we understand what a song like this is saying.

The film "Wind Beneath my Wings" appears in is great too, who can forget Beaches, with its many memorable songs, this being the theme song, and though I know the song has been around for a lot longer than the film, it certainly epitomises the essence of love, friendship and loss.

Sadly some people are very scathing about "Wind Beneath my Wings," not Amazon Critics as I can see but recently it was voted in the UK as "one of the most irritating songs" ever written which I thought was really far too harsh and unfair.

Despite this damning poll it has my vote, and I will play it until the cows come home and enjoy every emotional minute of it!

this song is very touching i had heard it on the radio a month after my brother died and it made me cry so much cause it had brought back so many memories that i had forgotten about and my mom collect's dreamcycles so when i saw the dreamcycles music box with that song on it i had to get it for her for Christmas and she was so touched she almost cried cause its on of her fav songs 2

This song so typifies my family. Throughout the years, they've always been there for me and helped me over the rough spots. I have coined these words in my will to best describe my feelings for my family and plan for this song to be played at my funeral some day. I want this to be my final message to them if I haven't been able to convey this sentiment to them throughout my lifetime. Thanks to Bette for helping us put words to our feelings. There's nothing like family. Nobody will ever love or care about you the way they do.

The first time I heard this song was about 2 years ago. My best friend sang it to me, and I thought it was beautiful. Two weeks later, she commited suicide. I'll always remember her with this song.....because she told me I will always be the wind beneath her wings.

Oh my God how this song touches my soul. I first heard it during the Gulf War, but this time around it fits so perfectly. It covers those who fought in the plane that crashed in Penn., it covers the firemen who went to their deaths at the WTC, it covers the rescue workers who labored day and night to try to find people at the Pentagon and WTC, it covers family members and friends who perished before their time because of insane terrorists bent on hate. "Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings." Oh how so true and when she sang this at the NY Memorial Service, it was the most beautiful song of tribute song purely from the heart. God bless Bette, for inspiring her to create this song. Little did she know what it would do for so many.

The Song "Wind Beneath My Wings" has been the greatest song that I ever heard! Today, I listen to that song everyday for 12 years. 2 years ago, I had a kideny transplant. I thank Bette Midler for singing this song. She is also my favorite singer and actress.
