5.0 out of 5 stars Shocked and amazed!, March 18, 2010
About eight months ago, with the help of David Crowder*Band's cover of How He Loves, I discovered John Manrk McMillan. I immediately spent time searching out as much of his stuff as I could find (which was more than I thought I would get). While that was going on, I kept seeing this album, but pretty much ignored it.

Finally, I decided to buy it based on the samples. I wanted some more mellow music as my collection had recently been beefed up with some more rock and metal oriented stuff.

This album was a pleasant little surprise. Similiar to her husband, Sarah's album is original, folky with some rock influence and just... down to earth. The lyrics are original and Christ-centered. The whole album actually sounds like Sarah and some friends just got together and recorded some songs, which is a good thing.

If you're looking at this album now, chances are you like John Mark. Chances are you like music like this anyway. Chances are you'll buy this album and it will amaze you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Feeds Your Soul, July 19, 2009
If you're not a fan of Christian Top 20 radio, enjoy the folk genre, and are into intimate worship, then more than likely you'll love Sarah McMillan. No tired music/lyrics here...just refreshing brilliance. My favorites are Treasure, Sing My Love, Open My Eyes, and Down the Banks. These are also my recommendations if you aren't interested in buying the entire album. Flesh and Bones, Bright Wings, and He Waters My Soul are good, but aren't quite up to par with the aforementioned songs. The only selection on here that seems lacking is Satisfy Me. It's the fourth song in and sort of disconnects an otherwise smoothly flowing experience. I just omit it from my burn and enjoy listening to the rest of it from start to finish. It's a lovely voice with a beautiful message that will certainly feed your soul!
