Before They Were Rock Stars,
By A Customer
This review is from: Under the Knife (Audio CD)
4 of the songs on this cd were on the original release of this album. Victory Records then bought the rights and added two songs that were on some split 7inches.This is where it all began. Connecticut hardcore. Where every show was a prison riot waiting to happen, and where Slipknot fans were nowhere to be seen.

hardcore at it's finest,
By mike (south jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Under the Knife (Audio CD)
ok. yes some of these songs were better produced on satisfaction. yes it is short. bottomline is this is an independent release. if all u are looking for is slick production by ross robinson than you are into the wrong kind of music and need to stop looking at this cd. hatebreed is an incredible band. their live show is like none other i have seen. this cd catches hatebreed at theitr rawest. ifu know hatebreed, like hardcore and supportindenedent releases, even if it was rereleased by victory, than get this album. appreciate this album for what it is. life changing hardcore. these guys have paved a road for hardcore in mainstream music. don't forget their roots.

GREAT SONGS, POOR RECORDING,
By A Customer
This review is from: Under The Knife (Audio CD)
HATEBREED is incredible -- song structure, lyrical themes, breakdowns. The "Under the Knife" EP captures the aforementioned components well but retains the all-too-familiar overloaded recording associated with bands on the rise. Pick up HATEBREED's "Satisfaction is the Death of Desire" if you don't already have it. If you are a dedicated fan, buy "Under the Knife." In either case, you'll end up bruised. Mark my words.
