If you're looking for an in-depth analysis of life on Earth... this is not the book for you.
If you're looking for a book with interesting characters, complex plot lines and vivid descriptions... this is not the book for you.
If you would like to read a short, predictable (in the good way) story that talks about things in relation to one another in a very kid-friendly way... that's more like it.
I teach a 3-4 year-old class in a private preschool. I recently used this book as a springboard for a class book about the plants growing in the room. The format of the book is simple enough that my class was able to come up with a version unique to us, but following the form of the book. My pre-readers and early readers have memorized it, and "read" it to each other during book time.
In short, it's not rocket science... but it serves a useful purpose in the classroom, and would be a good addition to any young reader's library.

good for elementary ESL class, October 13, 2002
The book is good for a lesson on prepositions.
The book uses only one preposition in a simple pattern.
I have worked at an English school where the kindergarten children quickly memorized the whole book.....
