The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is that after the wash the 2nd time, there is now a watery looking stain around embroidered eyes and nose on the eggplant's face. I suspect that the dye in the thread isn't colorfast, though not sure why it was ok the 1st wash. I washed it with whites so I know nothing else ran. After 4 washes the stain hasn't come out and the toy is looking more faded but very well loved.
Overall I like the fabric, I like the handmade imperfect aesthetic, and the fair-trade pledge. I just wish there was a little more proportionality to the sizing for some of these items.

Our little grand baby loves her eggplant. It is just the right size for tiny hands and yet not so small to be dangerous. She coos and talks to him, her best buddy. Read morePublished 23 months ago by MakeMIneCountry
Unlike the carrot or broccoli, there's really no good place to bite. Too big for a baby's mouth. But it looks cool.Published on January 13, 2014 by rbk
I wanted an organic toy for a teething baby who chews on everything. She loves this soft little toy and I don't have to worry about her sticking a bunch of chemicals in her mouth. Read morePublished on January 8, 2014 by J. S.
Made of great material, but my daughter doesn't even look twice at it. Doesn't rattle, make any noise or anything so it just sits at the bottom of the toy pile. Read morePublished on January 7, 2014 by Amazon Customer
