Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

A hodgepodge of skits, alternative emo rock, and quirky electro-pop, Under the Tray continues the tongue-in-cheek style of 2000’s Promotional Copy. Reggie’s only member, Get Up Kids’ keyboard player James DeWees, takes full advantage of his solo status, bouncing over the musical map as the mood suits him. Similar in method to the Kids, Nerf Herder, and Weezer, DeWees mixes a "lost youth" vibe and hugely appealing choruses with goofball energy. DeWees’s willy-nilly use of disparate styles sometimes distracts from his obvious talent. Still, whether he’s affecting a fake English accent for the new wave "Mood 4 Love" or breaking out the heavy-metal leathers for "Apocalypse Wow," DeWees’s musical intelligence is always evident. --Matthew Cooke

4.0 out of 5 stars yeah it's good., February 22, 2003
This review is from: Under the Tray (Audio CD)
here's the deal, there's only like 7 or 8 actual songs on here, probably 2 of which really aren't that good. so technically, you're paying for just a couple of good ones. however, those songs are not only really good, everything else is ridiculously funny. F.O.O.D. almost made me get in a car accident, mood 4 luv made me trickle in my pants, and you get the idea. it's good and funny, thus you should get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great job,Reggie!, May 27, 2006
This review is from: Under the Tray (Audio CD)
yeah,i remember the times i was playing burnout:takedown..that's so cool game, and as for me burnout 3 is much better than revenge-for example, talkin' about soundtrack(or gameplay, presentation )..reggie's "..smack and katy" is "THE anthem" of the game,I guess.aferwards, whole Under the tray is very specific, unique and catchy stuff!jokes mixed with 100% catchy melodies=under the tray.even design of cd is a joke.

there's no any fillers,or just boring [...]!of course this cd contains 17 tracks, but only 9 of them are songs, but this is it-this is true, real concept lp,its not playlist with numbers of SAME "semisongs"(Nickelback,do you hear me???!)
