yeah it's good.,
This review is from: Under the Tray (Audio CD)
here's the deal, there's only like 7 or 8 actual songs on here, probably 2 of which really aren't that good. so technically, you're paying for just a couple of good ones. however, those songs are not only really good, everything else is ridiculously funny. F.O.O.D. almost made me get in a car accident, mood 4 luv made me trickle in my pants, and you get the idea. it's good and funny, thus you should get it.

Great job,Reggie!,

yeah,i remember the times i was playing burnout:takedown..that's so cool game, and as for me burnout 3 is much better than revenge-for example, talkin' about soundtrack(or gameplay, presentation )..reggie's "..smack and katy" is "THE anthem" of the game,I guess.aferwards, whole Under the tray is very specific, unique and catchy stuff!jokes mixed with 100% catchy melodies=under the tray.even design of cd is a joke.
there's no any fillers,or just boring [...]!of course this cd contains 17 tracks, but only 9 of them are songs, but this is it-this is true, real concept lp,its not playlist with numbers of SAME "semisongs"(Nickelback,do you hear me???!)

This album is very funny, but at the same time it's catchy. I laugh everytime I hear Linkin Verbs. Happy V-Day will be stuck in your head forever. Dewees still knows how to right a great hook. My favorites songs on this album are Happy V-Day, Megan 2k2, and Congratulations Smack + Katy.

i dunno why people don't like this CD. it's so great! i like this CD waaaay better than Promotional Copy. anywho, back to the CD itself. there's a lot of "drunk girls" throughout the entire CD, which are all hilarious. the joke songs are purdy good too. "MOOD 4 LUV" is so awesomely funny. my friend has made me play that songs in the car SO many times. the 8 or 9 real songs are wonderful too. they may have goofy names, but songs like "Your Bleedin Heart", "What Won't Kill You...", "Image is Nothing...", "Happy V-Day", and "Megan 2k2" are so wonderful. i never got bored with them. i can play this CD over and over and not get tired of it. bad day? listen to the jokes songs/ drunk girls and cheer right up! BUY IT!

Either you love Reggie and the Full Effect or you hate them. Plain and simple. For all the Reggie haters, this album will certainly not win you over to their side, but sadly, if you're a fan of the ridiculous side project, this album might be the last straw.See, "Greatest Hits 84-87" was great. No, it was beyond great. It was a comedy album that took itself just seriously enough, crafting inexplicably simple songs about girls running away with hilarious sound bites to make an amazing disc that has yet to be repeated by any of the Reggie clones currently in existance, mostly because said clones don't seem to get the humor in it. "Promotional Copy" was a bit of a turn for the worse, with an overabundance of skits taking over the CD. On the upside, the disc introduced two more of James Dewee's creations - 80's synth-pop star Fluxuation and Nordic metal band Common Denominator. While over the top, both were honestly really damn good. So James has one amazing album under his belt, and one good album under his belt. So where does "Under The Tray" fall? Probably under the "painfully mediocre" file. Out of the 17 tracks on this album, 9 are billed as actual Reggie songs [2 featuring Sean Ingram as Hungary Bear, and 1 featuring Andy from Hot Rod Circuit]. Fluxuation and Common Denominator both get a track on here as well, with the former's "MOOD 4 LUV" being a wonderful dance through 80's cheese-synth, where as the latter's "Linkin Verbs" is a terrible, terrible disappointment. It doesn't even warrant a chuckle from me. The other 6 tracks are some of the soundbites that Reggie has been known for, but to be honest, they're not all that funny after the first listen or so. Each one of them kill any momentum the album has been carrying [which in most places isn't much momentum at all]. Dewees can still write a killer hook, though, as evidenced in "Congratulations Smack & Katy." The rest of the Reggie material on the album, however, is pretty weak. It was cute the first time around, and it was acceptable the second - now it's just getting annoying. There's not much reason to purchase this album, especially if you have "Greatest Hits 84-87." It's the only one you really need. Sadly, if you've heard that one, you've heard them all, but just better.

Reggie Rocks...,

The next installment chronicling the wild, trippy world of enigmatic starboy Reggie, continues the amazing (and sometimes bizarre) exploits fans know and love. Though maybe not a classic, like the previous two albums, there is plenty to like. The songs are a little more experimental, often a little stranger, but still full of catchiness and wit. Is Reggie the A.D.H.D., fun-loving brother of Trent Reznor? It sure sounds like it to me (and I mean that in the best possible way). If you are a first time listener, start with Reggie's first album, if you are already a fan, enjoy.

Not nearly as good as the first two. Kind of bland...but still better than most of the horibble music out there.

Reggie's 3rd disc "under the tray" is slightly more polished, but not as good as 2000's "promotional copy". That being said this is a great album and if you like either of the previous Reggie discs this is right up your alley. Features a new song by Common Denominator and three "drunk girl at the get up kids show" segments reminiscent of the 'drunk guy' tracks on "greatest hits 1984-1987".

This is some of Reggie's best stuff,
This review is from: Under the Tray (Audio CD)
This cd consists of 17 tracks. 9 of which are true Reggie songs. Two other songs feature Common Denominator, and Fluxuation. The other 6 tracks usually consist of a drunk girl for 20 seconds talking about awenings, tattoos, an gettin' her ... beat, and are there to lighten things up. The actual Reggie songs are some of his best. I don't know how to explain why some people don't think it's as good as his earlier stuff. "Happy V-Day" "What won't kill you..." "Bleddin' Heart" are all classic songs as well as the obvious faves "Congratulations..." and "Apocolypse WOW." "Image is Nothing..." is the most different Reggie song out there, and I love it because of that. The one Reggie song that does suck is "F.O.O.D." It's interesting the first time you hear it, but there's really nothing fun about that song at all. Common Denominator also suck on this album. It's No fun listening to songs that annoying. "MOOD4LUV" is a like a synth dance song, but with humerous lyrics, which make the song enjoyable. So in summation: 9 of the 11 songs make the CD worth your money. The other 6 drunk girl tracks are short, and do not hinder nor add to the cd. |
