I originally bought this album after hearing 'The Squizzle' and I purchased this album on the strength of that song alone. At first, it was (for the most part) the only song I listened to on the album because I have a large musical collection and I didn't have time to really get in-depth and listen to the album. Weeks later, at work, I was able to actually give the album a throrough listening from front to back and this is a really nice album. The music is light and airy. It's perfect for cruising in the car on a gorgeous spring day or as background music at a family function or at a wedding reception. It's perfect for almost any mood or setting, quite honestly. It's a nice melding of contemporary Jazz and some R&B. Great album.

In typical Shakatak style, "Under Your Spell" is chock-full of tracks that will keep you jammin' from beginning to end. The first track, "Sunshine," sets the stage with an upbeat, soulful rhythmn that will have you up on your feet, moving to the beat. The remaining tracks are a combination of fast, slow songs that flow in the usual Shakatak arrangement. Shakatak has done it again. I have been a Shak fan for years since my college days. This CD reminds me of one of their earlier pieces, "Intuition," which rose to the charts and propelled the group into being one of the world's best contemporary jazz groups. I'm sue this CD will be another hit in their already successful musicial portfolio.

I first fell in love with Shakatak when I heard their "Perfect Smile" CD. This album is almost as good. The group, which is from the UK, is extremely talented. The vocals are superb as are all of the other musicians. I highly recommend it. And I'm on a mission to collect all of their CD's.

I have listened to Shakatak from very beginning. It has been allways superb music, a fusion between jazz, latin and funk. Quite a talent from this British ensemble.

Shakatak sigue en la ruta de la creación de excelente música. Desde sus inicios este grupo británico ha desarrollado un estilo propio y que podemos seguir escuchando en "Under your spell".
Para todos aquellos que aman la buena música y en especial el nuevo brithis jazz, este cd ofrece, sin duda, una nueva perspectiva de ritmos, fusiones y empleo de tecnología que deja un agradable (como los buenos vinos) sabor de boca.
Cabe destacar que despues de más de 20 años de carrera musical, y que varios de sus integrantes han realizado trabajos como solistas, Shakatak sigue vigente y esperamos que por mucho tiempo más.
