A1: Slave Pits of the Undercity is an AD&D (1st edition) adventure module for six to eight characters of level four to seven. In this module, the players are commissioned to travel to the wild city of Highport in the Pomarj, to find and destroy the leadership of a band of slavers. But, when they get to there, they find that these slavers are well-organized and well-equipped. It will take all of the characters abilities, and a little luck, to fulfill this commission!

This module is the first in a series of four. These modules are generally considered four of the finest modules to come out of AD&D 1st edition, and no one should skip past them. Besides having a wonderful story and some interesting villains, this modules has some interested tricks and traps, and includes two new monsters (the insectoid Aspis and the Giant Sundew).

So, if you are running an AD&D campaign, and want to treat your players to one of the best adventures every written, then get this module!

This module was released in 1980 as a Tournament Module at GenCon XIII. I received this module awhile ago, and found it to be one of the best that I've used. It has locations and rooms that games, especially 3rd edition D&D, wouldn't normally have, like two-story rooms for example. All the creatures and monsters that are to be fought are listed in the beginning, as well as Dungeon Master information, and a story background to give the players a general idea of why they're there.

Basically, the players, whether they are already made characters or the nine pre-generated ones they have for you, are trying to stop a large faction of Marauders, as they have been capturing and slaving other people. It has a good story, as well as some good characters, including some dual-class ones. For people looking for 4-7 level adventures in AD&D, or who just love role-playing, this is one that should be checked out.

This is the first in a series of 4 modules, and is one of the most highly-regarded AD&D adventures of all time. David Cook vastly increased the sophistication of the game with his outstanding examples of puzzle solving, teamwork, and ingeniously deceitful "dungeon crawl" environments. For years, the Slavelords of the Pomarj have terrorized the Wild Coast, ranging as far as Greyhawk itself; now, it's time to put an end to the marauders! But of course, it's far worse than the players suspect... a classic adventure for levels 4-7.
