Gunter Faust is now in my top ten favorite romance heroes. He's 110% alpha-male, strong, smart, brave and fiercely loyal. If I could've plucked him from the book and made him mine, I'd be a happy girl.
What else did I love about this book...fantastic writing, page-turning suspense, six-hundred degree hot sex. A super story and riveting read from beginning to end.
I highly recommend it!

I'm all about a great series that keeps characters I love together, even peripherally, and this book does that. It carries forward characters from Armstrong's debut, Sheet Music. But the story is not at all about those characters. It's about secondary characters Gunter and Jenny (lucky, LUcky, LUCKY Jenny).
The story is rich in depth and breadth, offering an awesome tale of intrigue, murder, life on the "run" and plenty of steamy sex. Be warned -- the sex doesn't get to you until just before the halfway point, but it is SO worth the wait. The characters are strongly invested in each other and the emotion each displays, driven by different demons, is rich without being heavy.
I don't want to give away any of the plot because the last thing I want to do is issue a spoiler. I've read this book twice and each time find little things I missed, nuances and gestures that made the second read just as pleasurable as the first.
All I can say is, "Way to go, Ms. Armstrong. Way to GO!" (And please tell me Simon's story is next...)

I absolutely loved this book! Gunter is such an amazing hero and Jenny is just an amazing, strong woman and perfect for Gunter. I loved how she fought for Gunter! This book is full of suspense and love!
