5.0 out of 5 stars A funny, heart-warming tale of an undercover princess.
Princess Katherine seems to have the magic touch for healing Trey's dysfunctional family. Forget the premise of looking for the missing crown prince--it's pretty unconvincing anyway. Instead, focus on this wonderful tale of how one woman can make a difference! Truly a keeper!

2.0 out of 5 stars frustating
The romance was okay, kind of superficial. What is really frustrating is the fact that the mystery of her brother is never solved. I was hanging on until the end to find out and was let down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful story involving kids., December 31, 1999
This review is from: Undercover Princess (Royally Wed) (Harlequin Romantic Suspense) (Paperback)
Wonderful hero and fantastic heroine! The characterization and passion are amazing.

What was particularly enjoyable for me, as an added bonus over and above even these great things, were the scenes where the heroine, Kathy, interacts as temporary nanny with the children of the hero, Trey. His six-year-old son Doug has not talked since the hero's wife died three years before. Dougie copes with his trauma by pretending he is a dog. The manner in which Kathy coaxes him back into acting like a little boy again instead of a dog are at times hilarious and other times extremely touching. Kathy's relationship with the hero's teenage, rebellious daughter is great, too.

I don't usually like most romances with kids because they are just too "precious," but this one is very well done. Really believable and well characterized.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, April 9, 2000
This review is from: Undercover Princess (Royally Wed) (Harlequin Romantic Suspense) (Paperback)
A friend loaned me Undercover Princess, and I was pretty skeptical about it. The premise seemed farfetched and laughable. I managed to suspend my disbelief and get into the story involving a boy who thinks he's a dog, his sister who is a little too defiant, their charming executive father, and the nanny who is really a princess. The writing was snappy and clever, and the characters were endearing. I actually went out and bought the other books in the series and this one is by far the best.

4.0 out of 5 stars The only Royally Wed book worth reading, May 10, 2000

Sure, the storyline is a stretch. Princess Katherine poses as nanny Kathy Wynd to discover the whereabouts of her missing brother, the Crown Prince of Wynborough.

She slowly falls in love with her employer and his children, and since this is a series, the issue of the missing brother is not resolved. It doesn't matter, I read the later books and was not impressed, but Suzanne manages to make an implausible plot come alive.

The book may involve royalty, but it also involves everyday matters that many are familiar with. It just reaches to the heart of the reader and allows you to see into the minds and hearts of the characters. A dysfunctional family doesn't stand a chance against a woman's love and determination to really get them on the right track. From the beginning to the end you just have to chuckle and even want to cry a little over Kathrine's adventures into taming Trey, Stacie, and Doggie. It's a great read. You'll be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh Dear, November 29, 1999
This review is from: Undercover Princess (Royally Wed) (Harlequin Romantic Suspense) (Paperback)
Is the famous line "Kathy Wind" uses throughout the whole novel. It is a wonderful love story and the author gets into the mind of the characters deeply. This book will make you laugh, sit at the edge of your seat, and you might even become jealous of the character during a few sections of the book. If you are young like I am and never expierenced love like this you will want to after you read this book. I admired the way the author used her words wisely and she was very 'descriptive'. A theory I formed form this book is "you cannot deny true love no matter how hard you try when it is staring you right in the face".

4.0 out of 5 stars it's entertaining., January 13, 2012

I read everything Suzanne Brockmann writes. Love her books. This is a very simple, entertaining romance worth the read if that's what you are looking for. Definitely not the action and suspense of her "Troubleshooters" novels but sometimes mindless entertainment is what I need and I reach for a book like this.

I did wish to know what happened to the missing Prince, but sometime its the publisher, not the writer who cuts what they think isn't necessary. Leaving the back story open is so NOT Suzanne. Her back stories are the reasons I love her books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the 5 bk series, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Undercover Princess (Royally Wed) (Harlequin Romantic Suspense) (Paperback)
Loved the whole series, but the broken family in this book was just precious. They needed someone to step in and show them how to love each other again.

Princess Katherine is just the right fit to mend the hearts and lives of Trey and his 2 children.
