From School Library Journal
Adult/High School-SpyBoy, aka high school student Alex Fleming, returns. Undercover, Underwear! contains three stories. The first is obviously a continuation of one of the previous books in the series. SpyBoy fights Takematsea, a ninja, while Gila, who may be his mother, stamps out a rival assassin organization. In the second story, Alex, his father (also a super spy), his friend Butch, and Butch's mother, Rita, rescue his partner, Bombshell. The third story finds them traveling to Japan and introduces SpyGirl, an actress who is secretly another super spy and has some kind of traumatic past with Bombshell. Colorful, manga-influenced art and James Bond-esque action and puns provide teen appeal. SpyBoy is fast-paced, funny, and entertaining, but it doesn't stand on its own since it opens with the denouement of one story and ends with a cliff-hanger, so expect demand for other books in the series.
