4.0 out of 5 stars Undercurrent April 23, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I have mixed feelings on the dual vocals. It goes from a growled to a shouted/sung voice that reminds me of the singer in Prototype. There is some amazing guitar and drum work. Even though some of the guys are in Soilwork, the sound and songwriting is different. While there is melody, it doesn't have the hooks that Soilwork does. There's also a fair share of dissonance between driving riffs.

By far, my favorite track is Rebirth, the two guitars have a bit of interplay while being similar but not the same, they "dogfight" almost having a "call and answer" thing going.

If you like bands like Daath, Prototype or Meshuggah you'd probably enjoy this. It's perhaps a little darker and disjointed than Soilwork.
