5.0 out of 5 stars Sure is Hard to Figure...
I love that song. In fact I love this whole CD and I don't like country music in general. How many songs can you write about work, whiskey and women? But this CD blew my mind- I think it's the best country/western album ever recorded. But I was a little confused when it arrived in the mail with more warning labels than the anarchist cook book. NOT RECCOMENDED FOR ANYONE...

NOT RECCOMENDED FOR ANYONE. I couldn't figure out why this album was so scandalous- Most of it's pretty darn hilarious and the racial stuff is nothing worse than you'd hear on the average Chappelle show or Tupac album. Then I remembered- DAC's white, isn't he? That explained everything- a white fellow like DAC had better stick to songs about whiskey and women. Whatever. I think for myself and I don't care what color a person is as long as they're funny and they have talent. I'd bet you anything the average 'minority' would like this album too, at least if they weren't a stuck-up, hypocritical jerk like the average music critic.
Bottom-line: if you like good, funny, off-color music that has an occasional four letter word or ethnic slur, and you aren't ashamed to admit it, you'll love this album. Some of the lines in these songs are absolute classics. If your looking for DAC songs you haven't heard you may be a little shocked at first, but depending on your sense of humor, you may agree with me that it's his funniest, catchiest album. And certainly his bravest.

5.0 out of 5 stars CD Order Review, January 4, 2010
This review is from: Underground (Audio CD)
I'm happy with my order. This cd was obviously a bootleg, there's no booklet in the cover. But not a surprise, I'm pretty sure this album isn't manufactured anymore.

Funny songs! Of course they are offensive, but since when does that stop the music industry from selling CDs?! Oh yeah, when it offends blacks. What a double-standard.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bloodbanks rejoice, June 15, 2008
Imagine a hatchet fight between you and the knife juggling Benihana Ninja guy who beheads shrimp and effortlessly flicks them on your plate even if he's blindfolded. Imagine Freddy Kruger and Edward Scissor-hands giving you an enthusiastic facial massage. Visualize falling head first into your kitchen sink garbage disposal. That's a pretty good approximation of what remains of your face after shaving with the Vision 2000 razor. I'm convinced that the doubling of life expectancy in our time can be traced not to cleaner hygiene and better medical care; but to the switch from these "safety" razors to Gillette Techmatics. I want to love this thing for it's sheer manliness and heft, and the fact that the blades are one tenth the price of Gillette cartridges. And I believe with the right technique and extreme care it can be tamed. Some tips: 1.DO NOT EXERT ANY PRESSURE WHILE SHAVING WITH THIS. 2.DIAL IT SO THE BLADE IS BARELY EXPOSED 3.USE AN ESSENTIAL OIL UNDER THE SHAVE LOTION. 4. DO NOT USE REPEATED OR RAPID STROKES. 5.DO NOT SHAVE WITH THIS LESS THAN 2 HOURS BEFORE YOU PLAN TO LEAVE THE HOUSE OR PUT ON ANY CLOTHING. 6. BUY THE BRICK SIZED STYPTIC BLOCK, OWN ONLY DARK COLORED FACE TOWELS, HAVE ALOE JELL CLOSE AT HAND, BE CERTAIN YOUR WILL IS PREPARED BY A COMPETENT LAWYER. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS AND YOUR BATHROOM AND FACE WILL LOOK LIKE A CRIME SCENE. These may be the real WMD's that Saddam was producing.

(July 26, 2009) Like learning a martial art, practice and technique are what change you from a guy wearing white pajamas to a confident black belt. Fortunately and without needing corrective plastic surgery I finally mastered this razor and now I actually look forward to shaving. The secret, at least for me, was using the right blade....Feather...using a preshave oil to lubricate and protect the skin applied before and under the lather, (Strangely enough, olive oil works amazingly.) and the right shave cream...Proraso. With that approach, there hasn't been any profuse bleeding, or a single nick or cut for that matter and the shave is incredibly smooth. I can now give an enthusiastic 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE!, January 11, 2009
By
I recently decided to use a safety razor and did my due diligence to find out "WHAT'S THE BEST"!!! Knowing that the finest cutlery and machined products are made in Germany, I went with Merkur. In reviewing what this brand had to offer, I was attracted to the "Razor Dial" and "Butterfly Style" of the Merkur Vision #2000. Since I believe you get what you pay for, due to it's cost and features, this appeared to be the best for me. After purchasing the razor and putting it into action, I was glad my wife bought me the "Art of Shaving" starter kit, which contains the pre-shaving Aloe oil, cream, after-shave balm, fine Badger brush and CD. I say this because the CD was so informative regarding proper shaving techniques that I approached safety razor shaving and this Vision razor as if I never shaved with a safety razor before. Upon setting up my face for the first stroke I picked up the Vision #2000 and thought I had a 1lb piece of lead in my hand. This razor is heavy! In allowing the weight to be the only pressure I put to my face, the stroke was effortless and left a 75% clean face ( I have a heavy beard.) I found that the blade adjustment needed to be fairly closed, maybe a 3 out of 10 adjustments, otherwise I would need to call 911 or deal with the worst "razor burn" ever. That said, I re-lathered my face and started to shave against the grain, only allowing the weight of the razor to dictate the pressure. My face was like baby skin! This razor means business... To pull it around your face can only mean disaster! Enjoy that time when you shave, after all, you're not shaving your legs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Would not buy this again, February 20, 2008
There are a few problems with this razor you should know about.
1. The head is large so it's very hard to shave under your nose. I have to put the razor under my nose and push up before I start shaving.
2. The blade height adjustment is slippery and hard to adjust. Even with dry hands and a dry razor it's almost impossible to move. If your hands are wet you can forget about it.

All in all, it just has too many problems. Buy a cheaper razor.

2.0 out of 5 stars i was wondering why he never gets mentioned..., February 12, 2009

This review is from: Underground (Audio CD)
i was wondering why he never gets mentioned...he sings about waylon, willie, merle, hank, hank jr., and of course, himself. they never seem to mention him. they sang with him once or twice, but that's it.

this album explains it. catchy, quite filthy, and racist at one or two points, if he dropped the raccist tracks, this cd would be utterly hilarious. not that there haven't been racist things from other artists, but no racism is good. other wise this would get a five star for comedy, three for originaltiy in music. one song sounds just like johnny b. goode, another reminds me too much of kenny rogers' the gambler, only dirtier. Little Susie Shallow Throat is probably the best track. it seems so heartfelt the way it's sang, beautiful melody, but the lyrics have you laughing. and yes n***er f****er is very racist and may make some think about not buying his music anymore.
if you want this one, have thick skin, or just let it pass you by....
