Decent effort by Eiht, November 8, 2004
Not his best album to date, it does have its highpoints. This album has a bunch of skits (about 7) but the songs are mostly good (has 2 great songs). Recommended for any fan but his best 3 solo albums are "Section 8", "Tha8t'z Gangsta", and "Death Threatz". Features a few big names from the west, and Sticky Fingaz of Onyx. Production is decent from mostly people I never heard of other than Young Tre, Nic & Tone (5 songs), Platinum Boss (3 songs), Young Tre & Big Reese (1 song each), and Mad Hatter (2 songs). Has no real big weak spots and besides the many skits you can listen through the whole album without a lot of disappointment.

Eiht Hype, April 3, 2011
Sure he may not be the best lyricist in the game, but thats not what Eiht is about. If you miss that real gritty gangsta rap this is where its at. Even if you lean toward more of the party/pop hip hop, they is that on here too. Bottom line, this album is better than just good, Its mind blowing. This is my favorite Eiht solo of the past 10 years.

Eiht's newest is not exactly a "banger"!, July 29, 2003
I know a lot of people like to just come in here and drop "five star" reviews for artists that they like. The only problem with this is it actualy hurts that artist when some new fan goes out and buys one of their weaker albums. This is the case with "Underground Hero". Aside from a few humorous skits and a track with The Outlawz that is actually pretty good, this album is very mediocre. Most of the tracks aren't very catchy and even a collaboration with one of my favorite emcees, Sticky Fingaz is not very noteworthy. Do yourself a favor and go out and get "We Come Strapped" because that is where M.C. Eiht shined. This is just an average album. Hopefully, Eiht does better on his next one because he is a very talented rapper and his fans deserve better.
