UNDERSTAND has always been a big fave in my book. This is the real deal here. Fat chunky guitar chords interlaced with powerful yet melodic vocals. Pure punk here folks. It's not pop, but it has has some good pop hooks going on. Personal fave is "Never Follow". The ultimate punk anthem recently covered by "riotgun.", So. Cal's answer to Naked Raygun. True fans of the movement will love this release.

Great album by a great band! The 1980s was a great era for punk and hardcore shows!
This album was different from All Rise and Throb Throb and that was good.
Treason is a fantastic start to this album.
Other great songs are O.K. Wait, Understand?, Never Follow and The Sniper Song.

Well much of my original vinyl is in storage and my Understand? cassette bit the dust.
I needed this music again and I am extremely happy I have it again!

I would recommend Naked Raygun to anyone not familiar with the punk and hardcore music from the 80's
It is just great music. Live shows were even better!

Raygun always put on an amazing live show, lots of energy and spirit. Listening to the CD makes me weepy for those days again. Raygun is certainly at the head of the punk band class. Great stuff that stands the test of time. If you want music that rocks and just makes you feel good, this is the band(and one of the albums)for the job!

I agree with everyone's take on Raygun and they're reviews of Understand? Damn I get weepy for those long lost days when punk, hardcore and skating were all still real. But nobody had mentioned Wonder Beer! Haha good lord, that's as much a quintessential wasted youth song as Black Flag-Six Pack or basically anything Murphy's Law ever recorded from 89-present day. I mean that song was such a staple at almost every party I ever oozed into as a kid, even here in nj/nyc! So happy they re-released all NR on cd too, this band should definitely be mandatory listening for today's youth

My friends first gave me the Naked Raygun - Understand? cassette tape when I was in high school. Riding on the heels of the greatest era of punk rock, I listened to this album with my mouth open...wondering what happened and why it took me so long to discover Naked Raygun. Kids these days that think they know what punk is when they listen to their watered down poppy punk - running their fingers through their pretty green hair, well, they just don't understand!

This album is their best one ever. It is really good and enjoyable but compared to other releases it has a sound all its own, which is good. The time changes and melodies will make your ears take a different listen. My favorites are Jettison and their last album, Raygun...Naked Raygun. but this one is bad ass as well especially for treason, wonder beer, and Never Follow

About 5 years ago I heard Naked Raygun. I bought 2 cds from them and let my friends listen to them. Somehow both are missing. If my friends have the guts to steal 2 of my favorite cds, they must be good. You won't find a band with more hooks, power, and influence than these guys. Enjoy.
