Not a bad book, just somewhat basic. Geared more toward the novice. The first reviewer didn't agree with that, but you must consider that to the novice, everything is complicated.Novices: dive right in

I think that this is a good book but it is very compleicated and somewhat boring. But it does give some useful information such as feeding and grooming.I wouldn't recommend a person buying their first horse to get this. It was an ok book.
