Don't Buy,
By A Customer
This review is from: Understanding Bollinger Bands (Paperback)
This is the biggest waste of money ever .... as regards the shortness of this leaflet. It is NOT a book and is my own fault for buying it without checking number of pages. Buy "Bollinger on Bollinger bands" instead - now that is a good book.

Outdated information about Bollinger Bands,
By DKB (SoCal) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Bollinger Bands (Paperback)
John Bollinger has asked the publisher to remove this booklet from distribution. It was published in 1994 and is outdated and useless. When John did the research for his 2001 book "Bollinger on Bollinger Bands" (available at Amazon) he developed new guidelines for using his Bands that make this 28 page booklet obsolete. If you are interested in Bollinger Bands read John Bollinger's 288 page book. It is a thorough and comprehensive explanation of Bollinger Bands. It includes three trading approaches based on Bollinger Bands and which indicators to use with the bands for confirmation.Bollinger on Bollinger Bands

Efficient but very concise,
By A Customer
This review is from: Understanding Bollinger Bands (Paperback)
This is a very concise book on Bollinger Bands, which are often not fully interpreted in books on Technical Analysis and are here quite well explained. This book is constructed with interviews and magazine articles dealing with Bollinger bands. Anyway, this is the only book I know about them.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Understanding Bollinger Bands (Paperback)
This book is a good beginners book although very brief, it is a bit too lengthy on the development of the Bollinger bands and possibly insufficient details on the use of these.
There should have been more examples and use of Bollinger bands and their use in trends and sideways markets.

28 pages of freely available information, repackaged and sold. In the table of contents the author admits that he has nothing original to contribute and thus he collected Bollinger works and then annotated where necessary. Really, the tips and stratagem are available on Bollingers' website. If you want a more detailed study there are 2 major forex forum that offer way more strategies, support and clarification into bolliger bands trading.
My best way to sum this book is that it is a summary of John Bollingers Book Bollinger on Bollinger Bands DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.....Either go to the John Bollinger site or search the popular forx forums to get the either the same or better quality information for free. This excerpt "The author worked closely with John Bollinger to be able to help the reader increase his knowledge of Bollinger Bands, and their effective and proper usage" from the product description was very missleading.... as he has added nothing new to the material previously presented by the creator. I am disgusted and incensed that this material was even published.

NIce guy , terible book,
By Ron Davis "R-E" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Bollinger Bands (Paperback)
John B is an affable, well-intentioned individual but to pass this work off as something original or valuable is just not right. I am a part-time trader but voracious reader. When my real estate business slows down which is not as frequent as in the past, I try to read as much as possible about mathematics and markets. Many years ago I developed ideas that were precursors to John's writings. I too initially believed them to be valuable but when I tried to apply them to the markets I failed miserably. Save yourself some money and avoid these losing methods. Yes, I know as I am a highly respected market technician and I have seen just about everything written on this topic in the marketplace. My mathematics and real estate backgrounds have given me a perspective that these market hucksters lack. I am not perfect but I do know that my contributions to the investment industry is much greater than most of the highly visible promoters. Besides me, there are a few people who have done ground-breaking work, such as Kent Caloun. Bruce Bibcock, and Chuck Lindsay. These guys know math and I like their work. You may perceive my notion of being an expert as egotistical but I consider it to be well grounded in my knowledge and experience.
