The 101 and X99 level book on Computing,
By
This review is from: Understanding Computers: Today and Tomorrow, tenth Edition, Enhanced (Paperback)
I studied this book for my Intro to Computing class and found very interesting. This book covers topics beyond computing namely data communications as well. It also discusses the history or evolution of digital computing, worldwide web, software development processes, hardwares, network types and topologies, cyber crimes, and so many other things. This book is more than enough. It definitely addicts students like me and influences them to choose Info Sys, Info Tech, or Computer Science as their major. I believe this book is suitable for both introductory or survey courses "101" and Independent Learning courses "X99"; simply, this book is well written.

If you want to learn more about the computer itself, this book will teach you everything you need to know including the breakdown of the inside.
