Review
As a newly graduated midwife, I have proofread every page of this new 7th edition of Diagnostic Tests. The information contained within has been relentlessly researched and updated. Throughout the book, there is meticulous detail and numerous tables, facilitating ease of comprehension and use. Anne has tirelessly scoured every source possible on each topic she addresses, to offer every option, angle and perspective. This approach is of tremendous practical
value to the informed, empowered midwife, and thus, her client. This book is as necessary to have in the field as it is in the clinical setting. Like all of Annes books, Diagnostic Testing is unique; an exceptional, globally-oriented resource for any midwife, anywhere in the world. Every practitioner serving childbearing women should own and regularly refer to a copy. --Joni Winhold
Comments on the 6th ed.: Diagnostic Tests is the one book I can count on to cover both ordinary questions and obscure topics in an easy-to-access format. It often challenges the status quo and prompts me to reevaluate mainstream approaches to care. It covers almost everything I need to look up. It is the only book, despite its size, that I am willing to haul around to prenatal visits. It is, in short, the most valuable textbook I own. I wouldn't want to practice without it! --Jill Cohen, Independent Midwife, Former assistant editor, Midwifery Today
