Recommended by John Betts, this book is essentially the author's PHD research. It is easy to read, professional, and would help further research of Jung's collected works.

I like this book a lot. Unlike many books, it sticks to the subject. Also, Mary Ann Mattoon has a lot to say about how to interpret dreams a la Jung. I found it interesting that she is not an intuitive type but a thinking type, which, I thought, made her approach and even writing style distinctive - as a thinking type is not the typical Jungian. She covers the subject of dreams in depth. Don't expect her to give you a list of dream items that each means a specific thing. Jungian dream analysis doesn't work like that. But you will be very helped in interpreting your dreams by learning Jung's approach, as here. Mary Ann Mattoon has spent many years applying it and also developing some variations of her own. A good, interesting book.
