About the Author
Bentz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He received a master's degree in veterinary sciences at the University of Kentukcy Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center. He was born in Germany, and is a Diplomate in Large Animal Internal Medicine with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He has a private equine veterinary practice and also teaches biology at Eastern Kentucky University.
Granstrom is assistant director of the American Veterinary Medical Association's Education and Research Division.

Full of very good information and very well written. I have been in the medical field for 30+ years and I found this book needed my full attention and concentration. Not an easy read but you get a lot from it once you get through it. Interesting.

This is a very informative book and would be useful in a tack room. It doesn't go into alot of detail, but it's enough information to get the non-veterinarian wise to what may be happening with their horse.
