5.0 out of 5 stars Good fundamental book for the beginning GIS student., August 23, 1998
This review is from: Understanding GIS: The ARC/INFO Method, Version 7.1 for UNIX and Windows NT (Paperback)
I have used this book as a GIS lab manual for the past 3 years for a beginning GIS course and find that the book is well organized. It takes students all the way from data entry to analysis. The book is clear enough to be used without assistance.

This book has set the defacto standard for GIS lab manuals.
