Montessori for Birth to Three, July 21, 2008
This review is from: Understanding the Human Being (Clio Montessori) (Paperback)
This book is written by Dr. Silvana Montanaro, MD, who is the international head for the well-known Montessori Assistants to Infancy programs. It is true that the writing is a bit clumsy as it is translated from the Italian, but the valuable information, based on many years of practice (since the Montessori for Birth to Three course began in Rome in 1947), instead of "new theory" to be tested on infants, is priceless. In fact, when I introduced it to the head pediatrician for our county she bought two copies for her office!

This is a truly wonderful book. Easy to read or skim, you won't be disappointed by Dr. Montanaro's exploration of the world of the infant, from the prespective of Montessori philosophy. This book would make an excellent gift for expectant parents!
