We are middle school/homeschoolers. Understanding the Human Body: An Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology from the Teaching Company has been great for filling in the blanks that material at the 7-8th grade levels doesn't cover. Plus, there is knowledge room to grow into the high school years. Human anatomy made more sense with this program.

Anthony Goodman does a stellar job of explaining the human body, how it works, what can go wrong, what science is doing to cure or alleviate illnesses or failure in the various systems.

This course has many many colorful diagrams that Dr. Goodman refers to throughout each of his lectures. To watch this entire course will give you a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology. He is an excellent lecturer.

There is a course book that outlines each lecture which you can follow along with while watching. There are a couple questions at the end of each lecture that if answered will help to cement the material for the student.

Goodman recommends an accompanying book, Principles of Anatomy and Physiology by Tortora Grabowski. It would be good to get it.

Each lecture is 45 minutes making it perfect for class structure of one lesson per day for 32 days.

If you can really grasp every concept in every system, you will have had an excellent Human Anatomy and Physiology college level course.
