I recommend this book for anyone who has a horse suffering from this dreaded disease, laminitis. We all feel it is the end when our horse / pony is diagnosed with this as our vets do not give us much hope, but this book not only gave me hope to continue with a treatment programme, but pointed out which methods would best suit her degree of laminits and 3 months down the line I have a pony well on the road to recovery. DEFINITELY a must for people with horses / ponies prone too this disease.

Actually I have not read the book, but am familar with the Dr. Reddin. In short, they do not come any better. Many years ago he tried to help my hunter. In the end it just did not work out, as sometimes happens.
He is used to working on VERY expensive horses. But he still tried to help my "back yard" hunter. I sincerely feel he knows more about this terrible disease than just about any other source. Truly a dedicated and caring vet! Steve M. OHIO

A very informative book about a difficult and emotional subject. We all love our horses and want to take care of them. When something like laminitis happens, the more information we can have about this complex and often confusing affliction, the more we can make informed decisions that will best help our horse. This book has lots of pictures and information about lamanitis which I found helpful.
