Thorough discussion,
By Thomas Gault (tgault@usc.edu) (La Mirada, CA, 90638) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Learning Styles in the Second Language Classroom (Paperback)
This volume presents a thorough discussion of several approaches to learning styles. Of particular interest are the chapters on visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners, and how to best reach them. It does not present much in the way of "literacy" or unschooled adults, but there has been little research in this area. Another weakness in the book, as in the field, is that within the catagory of "visuals" it does not make a strong distinction between pictures and written text, yet clearly learners respond to each differently.
