4.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource February 14, 2011
Format:Paperback
I actually rented this book for a BSN course, and have to say that now I wish I would have purchased instead of renting. I plan to move forward in pursuit of a MSN degree and I feel this book would continue to be a resource. It's a good basic reference book that provides numerous research samples and critiques to aid the student in their own critique.

I love nursing, I hate research. This book did a good job of explaining the statistics in a useful, if still boring way.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dismal July 16, 2013

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very hard to read unless you have the mind of a researcher. Poor examples that don't really explain the various definitions throughout. Can be redundant at times, which can be good, but I found it annoying.

Written clearly - index good - examples are helpful. It's a useful textbook on a topic that is not fun for most people, but a necessity for a college education.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and content. June 20, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The book was basically new as far as I could tell. I don't recall what condition it was specifically noted as, but for me it was mint condition. The topics covered in the text were very thorough and detailed and helped with making complex items very understandable. Shipment was very quick.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed May 20, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I purchaed this book because it was listsed as "Like New". It arrived promptly but was certanily not in a "like new" condition! It was dogeared and had numerous bright pink highlighting throughout the book. I kept it because my class started but would not purchase from this seller again. False advertising! Dishonest!
