This is the best book on prayer I have ever read,not to mentioned one of the best books I have ever read period. Dr Munroe gives you 13 years of research on prayer that would take the average person a life time to collect and put together the way he has. This book is very simple yet life changing. Highly recommended for any age (im 19 loved it!) You will not regret getting this book. I was very thankful to Dr Munroe after reading this book and I will probably buy about 20 more to give to my friends.

It is an excellent teaching and personal tool. I was appointed National Prayer Intercessor for King's Apostle Church World Ministry. I've read the book and it open my eyes to alot things regarding prayer that I did not know. I was asked by one of our local church to train their prayer ministry team. I told them I will be teaching from Dr. Myles Munroe book entitled "Understanding the Purpose and Power of Prayer: Earthly License for Heavenly Interference" and the study guide. I also suggested this book and study guide on facebook I also emailed some pastors and friends as a means to empower one life and its congregation.

I like the structure of question in the study guide because it make you think before responding. I will be using the Understanding the Purpose and Power of Prayer...book and Study Guide on March 26, 2011 which is my first scheduled training session. I want to thank Dr. Myles Munroe for writing these awesome tools for prayer ministy; this book and study guide will definitely enhance your personal prayer life. Elder Cecelia C. Smith

Thank you so much Myles Munroe for writing this book. It has opened my eyes to so much about prayer that I didn't realize but when you study the Bible it really is true! Since I read your book a few months ago I have put what I've learned into practice and I have already experienced many answers to prayer!!! Knowing and believing God's promises and putting them into action is so much more understandable and easier for me now. If you're not sure how or why to pray, or even if God hears when you pray--get this book. It'll put you in alignment for transformation and blessings.

This is one of those books which I consider to be a "friend." I've read it more than once and will continue to read it ocassionally. Really good chapter on fasting.

This book was absolutely awesome! It changed my life. Because of this book, I have started to study the scriptures on a daily basis and I have such a hunger for the word of God like never before. I am planning to get the study guide which will greatly complement everything I've read in the book. I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever wondered how to pray or how to build their relationship with God.

Myles Munroe's book is one of the better books I have read on prayer. I especially liked how at the end of each chapter he recaps all of the major principles. He also has suggestions for "Putting Prayer Into Action".

This book is a good book to read if you need encouragement in going deeper in your prayer life. Munroe does a great job in explaining why believers prayers play such a vital role. One of the things he says is, "Prayer is an expression of mankind's affirmation of and participation in God's purpose for the earth." He also talks about how as believers in Christ, God has given us authority, and the importance of that. "Prayer is earthly license for heavenly interference."

If you saw the Secret but wanted to understand its principles from a Christian viewpoint, then this is a good book to read. Munroe wrote his book several years ago, but what he says about faith coincides with the Secret. A couple of the things he says is, "Make room for your answer.", and "Faith is belief combined with expectation and action."

As I said before I liked how at the end of each chapter Munroe gave a recap. I, however, didn't like how he gave step by step actions to follow when you pray. For example, "Ten Steps To Preparedness In Prayer" or "Twelve Action Steps To Prayer" It seemed more like a to do list, rather than about connecting with God and His will and purposes.

Overall though, it is easy to look past the to do lists, because you will find a new passion and excitement for prayer after reading this book.

This is a must read for all those who believe as Christians that Christ died on the Cross for the Redemption of our Sins. It explains our Role as Christians on this earth.This is truly a life altering book and one of the most profound books I have ever read.

My Bible study group picked this book in order to learn more about prayer. After a few chapters it bacame obvious that Mr. Monroe is NOT an authority on the subject. His basic premise is that God is unable to directly influence events on earth without being asked to intervene by a human. If you know God's word, you know that's not truth.
