I had to apply this book for my sociology class. From front to back the materials were engaging. Dolgoff and Steinfield (2007) provided a great comprehensive perspective of social welfare. All information was easily read and flowed smoothly. The vital thing is that the book is worth keeping and the information can be applied to world circumstances. The book provides a great understanding of the functional, conflict and interactionist perspectives into social welfare.

I wont say that I like this book at ALL! But as far as the purchase it came in a very timely manner and it was basically brand new and had all the pages and chapters!

I bought this book for a class and the book was everything that the caption said it would be. It was not damaged and the book itself proved to be a book to keep for reference for other classes.

I'm writing this review because the emails asked me to. =D If you have a genuine interest in policy and history this is a useful text. The opinion stated here is based off of my limited reading of the book because I have yet to read the text in its entirety.

The book came quickly and was in great condition! When this seller said it was used/like new...they really meant it, this book is just like new.

I am still in the middle of this book, I bought the book for school, the person who had this book before me took great care of it and I was very impressed.

I am amazed at the neartly perfect condition of this textbook. I was expecting the used book to be worn and tattered, but the book was practically new at a used price. Great merchandise Amazon!

Arrived really quickly, just in time for school.

As to the content -- its very informative, gives an overall history and perspective of the evolution of social work in the U.S.
